Tata has officially confirmed at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show that the upcoming H7X SUV will be known as Tata Buzzard. The product will be their new flagship car with seven seats as standard and engine derived from the Harrier. The front fascia resembles the Harrier as Buzzard comes with the same daytime running light section on the top and headlight section under the same. The alloy wheels are 18-inch on the car while front features a massive flat bash plate finished in silver. The side profile features a huge glass section for the third row, bringing the same sort of effect that was earlier seen through the Land Rover Discovery.
However, the difference here is not that massive for sure. The use of bigger alloy wheels will definitely alter the ground clearance for the Buzzard, which is supposed to get more weight on the inside through two extra passengers and their luggage. The rear features a watered-down version of the Harrier with well-designed lights and impressive exhaust sections. The car measures 62mm longer than the standard Harrier and not just that, the change in length is visible after the rear tire as wheelbase remains the same on the new Tata Buzzard.
The OMEGA platform being used on the Harrier is their game plan for premium products while ALFA used on the Altroz will underpin the future compact products. The car will feature the same 2.0L engine producing 170 HP for a better overall power-to-weight ratio. The range is expected to start from INR 15 lakh while getting 6-speed automatic option will take the top-spec model’s price around INR 22 lakh. The 4×4 option has not been mentioned during the official unveiling. Tata Buzzard comes with roof rails on the version that was shown at the auto show, missing the sunroof option for the present moment.
