Tata Gravitas is the Official Name of the 7-Seater Harrier SUV

One of the most anticipated upcoming SUVs from the brand, the Tata Harrier-inspired seven-seater SUV has been officially christened as Tata Gravitas for the Indian market. The brand had initially showcased the SUV as “Buzzard” at the Geneva Motor Show.

In addition to unveiling the official name of the SUV, the brand has also announced that Gravitas will launch in India in February 2020. If the rumours are to be believed, one can expect the SUV to make its debut at the Auto Expo 2020.

The official website of the upcoming SUV from the brand is now live where the interested customers can register their name and email ID to know more details on Tata’s upcoming product. The Gravitas measures 4,661mm in length, 1,894mm in width and 1,786mm in height while the wheelbase remains identical to the Tata Harrier and stands at 2,741mm. Coming to the design language, the revealed images of the Buzzard did specify all the clear details of the SUV. Exhibiting a taller profile with the addition of roof rails, the Tata Gravitas is taller than the current-gen Tata Harrier while features redesigned alloy wheels as well as sportier running boards.

The brand has offered the upcoming SUV with more headroom for the third-row passengers which further imparts the Gravitas with an uplifted rear profile and a more prominent design language. The taillights of the SUV have also been redesigned while the rear glass is now larger in size.

The engine will be mated to 6-speed manual gearbox and it will also get an optional 6-speed torque-convertor automatic gearbox.
