The 2020 Tata Harrier Automatic variant has been spied testing on the Indian roads and for the first time, the cabin was on full display. The updated variant of the SUV now features a revised interior with a dual-tone brown/black colour scheme. In addition to this, the brand has also released a teaser video of the updated SUV with “Driving Pleasure Like Never Before” tagline showcasing the major updates offered as well as hinting at an automatic variant.
The 2020 Tata Harrier Automatic variant features light brown upholstery while the dashboard is now glossy brown replacing the wooden scheme offered to the manual versions of the SUV.
The automatic gear lever installed on the SUV has been imparted with a black and silver colour scheme while features a Tri-Arrow design on top. The “P, R, N, D” gear modes have been lettered on the right side of the gear lever. The automatic variant of the SUV has also been equipped with a manual mode.
Apart from these minor changes, the interiors remain strategically the same for the automatic variant. The SUV continues to feature a floating infotainment display while the three-spoke multifunction steering wheel also remains the same. The 2020 Tata Harrier Automatic features the same adjustable seats at the front in addition to getting a foldable armrest at the rear.
Some reports also suggest that the updated automatic variant of the SUV will also be available to the customers in an all-new red colour scheme though there has been no official confirmation received on the same.
The 2020 version of the SUV will feature a BS6-compliant engine though the new power and torque values have not been revealed as of yet. At present, the BS4 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine on Tata Harrier is good for 140HP of power and 350Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
