Tata Harrier Dark Edition Exterior & Interior Details Revealed
The all-black Tata Harrier is expected to be launched in the Indian market soon. According to a recent update, the black variant of the SUV will be christened as Tata Harrier Dark Edition. The brand plans to launch the new variant of the Harrier to keep up a competitive edge in the market considering the SUV has managed to compete with the likes of Kia Seltos, Jeep Compass, MG Hector as well as the Mahindra XUV500.
The brand has offered the Dark Edition of Tata harrier an Atlas Black exterior shade while the front and rear skid plates have also received the same treatment. The Tata Harrier Dark edition features 17-inch “Blackstone” alloy wheels in addition to grey inserts for the front headlamp design. The imposing all-black colour scheme is bound to grab attention on the road.
Coming to the interiors, the brand has also retained the all-black colour scheme for the same. The dashboard of the SUV has been offered a “Blackstone” shade while the faux wood inserts on the centre console have been replaced by grey inserts. In addition to this, the elegant look of the cabin is accentuated by Benecke-Kaliko Blackstone leather seats which features contrast stitching. The same leather treatment has been offered to the door pads as well as the inside of door handles.
Besides the cosmetic changes, the SUV remains mechanically unchanged. Powering the Tata Harrier Dark Edition is the same 1956cc, Kryotec 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine that is good for 140 HP at 3750 rpm and 350 Nm at 1750-2500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The Tata Harrier Dark edition will be priced higher when compared to the standard variants while there has been no confirmation if the price tag will succeed the price of the dual-tone variant of the SUV. The brand is also planning on launching a new variant of the Tata Harrier with factory fitted sunroof in the coming months. In addition to this, we can also expect the BS6 and more powerful variant of the SUV to be launched shortly.
