Tata has officially revealed the complete technical specifications of the Harrier SUV. The car is powered by a 1956cc 4-cylinder BSIV diesel engine, which generates maximum power of 140 PS at 3750 rpm with maximum torque of 350 NM at 1750-2500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, and as of now, Tata has no plans to launch Harrier with an automatic gearbox. The SUV will initially be available with only manual transmission.
As far as the dimensions are concerned, Tata Harrier is 4598mm in length, 1894mm in width, and 1706mm in height. The ground clearance of the SUV 205mm and the boot space is 425 litres, which can further be increased to 810 litres by folding the rear seats. The fuel tank capacity of the car is 50 litres and the wheelbase is 2741mm. Tata Harrier is equipped with front disc and rear drum brakes. The tyre size for entry-level variants (XE, XM) is 235/70 R16 (Steel) while the top-spec variants (XT, XZ) come with 235/65 R17 (Alloys) tyre size.
