The upcoming MPV from Tata Motors, Hexa, has been scheduled for launch in June 2016. The car is a strict Toyota Innova rival and commits to offer more premium appeal than any other car in the segment. It was recently displayed at Auto Expo 2016 and the Geneva Motor Show 2016. Hexa will be replacing the Aria from the company lineup and Nexon, the compact SUV will follow the bigger car later this year.
Hexa is powered by the same 2.2 L Varicor engine from Tata Safari Storme, producing 155.9 Bhp and 400 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The options on Hexa will include all wheel drive, terrain management and touchscreen infotainment system. It is an important product from Tata as it can bring back the sales lost to Mahindra XUV500 and Toyota Innova.
Equipped properly and carrying a positive design, the new Hexa is expected to start where the Safari ends. It has some sort of resemblance to the Land Rover design language and this can prove as a positive point for the upcoming car. The car measures 4764 mm, 1895 mm in width and 1780 mm in height. It gets a good 2850 mm of wheelbase for comfortable 7 seat experience.
