Tata Nexon AMT has been confirmed to debut at Auto Expo 2018. A moment of joy for all those who were planning to buy the peppy compact SUV, this new gearbox will make driving a lovely affair in the coming months.
Selling more than 4000 units of Nexon every month, Tata Motors is almost ready to cater more customers through their new AMT equipped variants. Tata Nexon is available with both petrol and diesel engine while segment rival Maruti Vitara Brezza comes in just single diesel option.

Auto Expo 2018 will also have production ready variants of X451 premium hatchback and H5 SUV. Tata Motors even teased a production version of Tigor Sport through an image with hints of modifications.
They will be one among the most interesting stall to visit as their long list of products makes them a popular section of Auto Expo 2018. After coming with an AMT, Nexon will be Tata’s fifth product to feature automated manual transmission. It will cost almost INR 40,000 over the regular 6-speed gearbox.
Tata Motors is known to offer AMT in mid and top spec variants. This makes them good for XTA and XZA on the 2018 Nexon. Tata has already launched a dual tone White shade for XZ variant.
Tata Nexon is powered by a 1188cc, turbocharged petrol engine producing 110 PS at 5000 rpm and 170 Nm at 1750-4000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Another engine option, the 1497cc, turbocharged diesel, is good for 110 PS at 3750 rpm and 260 Nm at 1500-2750 rpm.
This engine also comes with 6-speed manual gearbox. The range starts from just INR 5.85 lakh and no other petrol car is as powerful as this one around this segment. It offer a wide range of mouth watering shades.
