Tata Motors recently launched a new version of its Nexon SUV in the country, the Kaziranga Edition. The Nexon Kaziranga offers premium features with an exclusive exterior and interior concept inspired by India’s rich topography and biological variety, as well as paying tribute to Assam’s Kaziranga national park. After getting a price hike of Rs 20,000 (again), the SUV is now available with a starting price tag of Rs 12.20 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Speaking of the exterior design updates, the Kaziranga edition Nexon gets the signature satin black Rhino mascot on the front fenders and rides on jet-black diamond-cut alloy wheels to give it a distinguished look. Its grassland beige finished body and piano black roof are inspired by the magnificent grasslands of Kaziranga Park.
Turning inside, the special version of the Nexon boasts an earthy beige and black interior theme and sports the same colour upholstery with the Rhino mascot brocaded on the headrests. In addition, ventilated front seats with Benecke Kaliko leather, auto-dimming IRVM, wild’s natural air-inspired air purifier, and the tropical wood finished dashboard are among other exclusive additions.
Powering the Kaziranga model of the subcompact SUV are the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. The customers can further avail themselves of manual or automatic (AMT) gearboxes.
