Tata Motors recently revealed the Racemo Sports Coupe @ 2017 Geneva Motor Show. It was presented as the first ever product from the TAMO sub-brand. The car is clearly an outstanding product as it has been made within a total length of just 3835mm and comes out as two seat sports car with rear mounted mid-engine. It looks futuristic with its highly modernized design and claims higher height for ease in everyday ingress and egress. The production of TaMo Racemo is limited to just 250 units and the expected price of the car is INR 25 lakhs. As per the latest details available, Tata would be launching the TAMO RaceMO in India by December 2017.

TaMo Racemo comes with a 1.2 liter, turbocharged Revotron all aluminum engine producing 190 PS at 6500 rpm and 210 Nm at 2500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed AMT unit while TAMO claims a 0-100 kmph sprint in under 6-seconds. The car was first teased in February 2017 and would make it into the Indian market in early 2018.
Racemo will have 4 strategical pillars which includes the street oriented car itself, track based Racemo+ in the future, digital reality experience for non-Racemo owners and its integration in Forza gaming platform. The car comes with 205/50R17 rubber for the front and uses a differently sized 235/45R18 for the rear.
The connected car technology from Microsoft would be seen on the Racemo. This would help the owners get information about periodic maintenance, car statistics and over the air updates for the console. Racemo brings the much required features like bi-LED headlamps, paddle shifters, push button reverse and all wheel disc brakes with ABS in itself. Owners can even opt for race spec 4-point seat belts while dual airbags are offered as standard.

The interior of the Racemo carries the race car appeal as its race spec steering wheel carries everything from the push start button to the controls of the three screen instrument console. The buttons on the inside look more into the premium sports car segment. The dual tone dashboard has minimum number of options while the center console comes with various controls for the Racemo.
