Tata Tiago AMT has been launched in India for INR 5.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The variant is based on the top spec Tiago and gets XZA moniker for its representation. Tiago is one of the best option to consider when buying an entry level car and the new automatic version is even easy to drive for the first time drivers. It will be sold in a single variant as Tata may not consider doing the same mistake as Nano’s AMT variant placement.
Tata Tiago AMT Launched @ INR 5.39 Lakh
Tiago AMT comes with an Easy-Shift R gearbox that offers manual mode driving and two ride modes, Sports and City. The regular feature on the two pedal ride includes its AMT specific neutral, reverse and drive position. The creep mode on the car enables the driver to keep both the feet away and let the car crawl in heavy traffic. The new gearbox is said to offer peppy driving experience to the owners with the same peace of mind as the manual version.
Tata offers the AMT variant on just petrol Revotron top spec model. The 1.2 liter, three-cylinder engine is good for 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque on the manual Tiago. It even claims a mileage of 23.84 kmpl on the manual version. The values for AMT gearbox variant are still unknown while Tata is soon expected to update the same on their official brochure. The XZA variant will cater the needs of those buyers who drive more in high traffic conditions.
The car features 14 inch alloy wheels, 8-speaker JBL system, dual airbags, anti-lock braking system and corner stability control. Tata Tiago AMT strictly rivals Maruti Celerio AMT and Hyundai Grand i10 AMT while its performance can also be compared to Honda Brio Automatic. Tiago is the best selling car in Tata lineup while its compact sedan version will soon be launched under the Tigor moniker in India.
