A recent tweet from Ishan Goel to Elon Musk got an interesting reply to his question. Tesla owner hopes the sales for the electric car brand to start this summer in India. The car maker is expected bring the entire range to India, which includes Model S, Model X and upcoming Model 3. Tesla can even place their superchargers around the country in that time.
Tesla all-set to enter India by Summer 2017
These stations are very useful as they can charge the car in few minutes, saving hours of wait and electricity for the user. Indians will focus more on Model 3 as it is the most practical model that claims more than 350 kilometers of range and 0-60 kmph in 6 seconds. These values are for the base variant and both the values change among all models.
The same model is expected to cost around INR 50 lakh as Indian import duties are quite high for CBU’s. The same costs $ 35,000 in the US. Deliveries of the Model 3 will start in 2018 only while other two will be extensively available as per customer’s demand. The cars are highly reliable and come with autonomous driving as an optional function.
