Due to the implementation of GST (Goods and Services Tax) from July 1st 2017, the car sales in June 2017 saw a major downfall. The customers were rather confused on whether to buy the cars before the GST implementation and enjoy the budget cuts or not. The car sales in India suffered a gradual decline in June 2017 with an estimate of 11% downfall which are the maximum since May 2013 only due to the GST.
Maruti Suzuki Sold 14,856 Units of Alto Series in June 2017
Maruti Suzuki Alto continues to be on the top of list despite of the 37% falling in the sales. Honda WR-V secures a position above the Ford EcoSport in sales. Hyundai Grand i10 achieved the second highest spot leaving Dzire, Wagon R and the Swift behind.
Top 25 Best-Selling Cars in India [June 2017]
The Renault KWID’s sales have dropped to almost 43 percent despite being one of the best feature loaded entry level car in the country. Hyundai Creta stood ninth with 6436 units while Ciaz from Maruti sold 3950 units last month. This makes both Hyundai and Maruti in the first ten positions as usual with Maruti’s cars making the most sale.
Maruti Suzuki Sold 12,049 Units of 2017 New Dzire in June 2017
Maruti Swift sold approximately 9902 units making it the the number fourth the list followed by Maruti Baleno selling 9057 units. The list is followed with Tata Tiago selling 5438 units and bagged thirteenth position next to Renault KWID. A total of 12 Maruti cars made into the top 25 list, making it the highest selling brand in India. Hyundai had 5 cars within the same list and thus, 17 places were occupied by both the brands.
