Top 25 Best-Selling Cars in India
September 2017 reportedly proved a good time for car sales in India. Festive season helped Maruti and Hyundai register even better sales than before while other like Tata, Renault, Mahindra and Toyota even got bigger numbers on their side.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire was once again the highest selling product with 34,305 units sold in September 2017. Once a best seller, Maruti Alto, now comes second with 23,830 units within the same period. Surprisingly, the car that is priced almost 2.5 times over the Alto got more sales, hinting at a gradual change in choice of Indian buyers.
Maruti Baleno stood third with 16,238 units for September 2017, again registering more numbers than fourth placed Wagon R at 14,649 units. This shows how Maruti Suzuki customers are preferring better and bigger cars than those traditional entry level hatchbacks.
Hyundai Grand i10 stood fifth with 14,099 units, helping the brand breach 50,000 sales mark for September 2017. Sixth and seventh spot again goes to Maruti Suzuki with 13,268 units for Vitara Brezza and 13,193 units of Swift hatchback. Hyundai i20 Elite is the eighth best selling car with 11,574 units on its side while Creta follows the same for ninth spot with 9292 units.
Renault Kwid comes tenth with 9099 units sold within 30 days of September 2017. Mahindra Bolero saw a considerable increase in sales, fetching 8646 buyers and proving its metal before all other products in its lineup. Tata Tiago is another rising star of India, selling 8316 units in September 2017 and getting the twelfth position among top 25 cars sold in India last month.
Maruti Omni and Eeco came next with 6920 units and 6815 units respectively.Toyota Innova Crysta followed close with 6323 units for September 2017. Mahindra Scorpio, Hyundai Verna and Honda City were last three cars to cross 6k mark with 6260, 6054 and 6010 units respectively.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Ciaz, both equipped with SHVS, sold 5683 and 5603 units respectively. Hyundai Eon was good for 5144 units while Ford EcoSport helped the American brand enter this list with 4934 units. Honda WR-V is one really capable crossover and thus, 4834 units was a deserving number.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Ignis wraps up this top 25 list with 4797 units and 4271 units respectively. Out of these 25 cars, 12 were from Maruti Suzuki and 5 were from Hyundai. Honda and Mahindra were good enough to register two products each in the list.
