Toyota Yaris India Launch on May 18: The much awaited Toyota Yaris will launch in India on 18 May 2018. Official bookings for this impressive sedan will start on 22 April while some dealers in Delhi have already started accepting bookings for INR 50,000.
Toyota Yaris is using a 1.5L, four cylinder petrol engine that produces 108 HP of maximum power and 140 Nm of decent torque. The car is available with either 6-speed manual or 7-speed CVT option.
Presently, Toyota has denied any plans of getting a diesel motor for Yaris and thus, they can bring an engine later for both Yaris and Corolla Altis.
Yaris measures 4425 mm in length, 1730 mm in width and 1475 mm in height. This makes it quite in competition with rivals like Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna in India. Wheelbase measures 2550 mm and thus, abundance of legroom will be on offer for all five passengers.
As only petrol variant is on offer, Honda City will be their primary target. Other two brands are more diesel specific while Honda buyers still prefer buying petrol option when it comes to an executive sedan. Interior of Yaris comes in Black and Beige finish for that airy inside feel.
Yaris comes with an impressive exterior with daytime running lights studded between the front grill design. Headlight are sharp and swept back in an impressive manner.
Buyers are offered with 7 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, front and rear parking sensor, reverse parking camera, roof mounted rear AC vents, power adjustable driver seat, paddle shifter, cruise control, rain sensing wipers, four wheel disc brakes, leather seats, projector headlamps, LED line guides and 7 inch infotainment system with navigation.
It also features a flat rear floor and thus, a bunch of segment first features came standard with the new Toyota Yaris.
