The face-lifted Etios cousins have been launched in India, starting with a price tag of INR 5.24 lakh for the hatchback Etios Liva and INR 6.43 lakh for Etios Platinum sedan. Surprisingly, the updated cars are cheaper by up to INR 35,000 than the ongoing version of both Etios Liva and Etios Platinum.
The exterior of the car receives similar updates in both the cars. It comes with a redesigned face, thanks to its bumper with a modern appeal and a unique design. The air dams are wider this time whereas the upper grill is carrying more chrome than ever. The silver inserts when added to the same finishes the front face in a neat and attractive manner. The alloy wheel design on the top spec car looks great.
2016 Toyota Etios Liva, Etios Platinum Launched
The interior now claims 7% better NVH levels while the center console now hosts a touchscreen infotainment system. The instrument console now uses a digital tachometer while the list of comfort and safety enhancing features include electric folding mirrors, rear parking sensors, standard ABS, dual airbags and ISOFIX child mounts.
The existing lineup of engines include a 1.5 L petrol and 1.4 L diesel unit. No tweaks to the performance has been done so far. The cars are now meet up the competition with their attractive looks and safety focused built. The Etios Platinum sedan even features a rear seat armrest and chrome slat running all over from one side to the other on the rear.
