2017 Toyota Corolla Altis was recently launched in India with a starting price tag of INR 15,87,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). The car can now be bought in six variants, further divided into four petrol and two diesel options. The diesel engine is offered with a 6-speed gearbox while the petrol can be bought in both CVT (7-speed) and manual gearbox (6-speed). The executive class sedan comes with added safety features like 7 SRS airbags, hill start assist, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake distribution, brake assist and vehicle stability control.

Corolla Altis is powered by 1798 cc, 4-cylinder engine producing 140 PS at 6400 rpm and 173 Nm at 4000 rpm. The diesel engine on offer is a 1364 cc, 4-cylinder engine with variable nozzle turbo and intercooler, producing 88 PS at 3800 rpm and 205 Nm at 1800-2800 Nm. The car measures 4620 mm in length, 1775 mm in width and 1475 mm in height. Toyota offers a good 2700 mm of wheelbase and claims 55 liters of fuel carrying capacity for the petrol model and 43 litres tank for the diesel model. The boot storage is 470 liters on the 2017 variant.
The changes are clearly visible on the new car, carrying 16 inch alloy wheels and LED headlamps on all variants. The front grille is even new while the interior carries soft touch dashboard with Flaxen interior shade and all new instrument console. The drive-train becomes more responsive with the addition of Sport mode to the car. 2017 Toyota Corolla Altis can be bought in Phantom Brown, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Grey Metallic, Super White, Silver Mica Metallic, Champagne Mica Metallic & Celestial Black shades.
