The standard model of the 2021 Toyota Fortuner is available with a single engine-gearbox option in Thailand. It is powered by an all-new 2.4-litre diesel engine which is further mated to a 6-speed torque-convertor automatic gearbox. The 2021 model of the SUV is capable to generate a maximum power of 150 HP at 3,400 rpm along with a peak torque of 400 Nm at 1,600-2,000 rpm.
The engine features a VN Turbo system that helps it to deliver optimum power at all speeds. According to the brand, they have also improved the performance of the 4×4 system and it is now known as ‘Sigma 4 System’. In addition to the 2.4-litre engine, Toyota is also offering the new model of the 2021 Fortuner with a 500Nm 2.8-litre diesel engine, which is exclusive to the Legender model.
