Next-Gen Toyota Harrier Mid-Size SUV Leaked Online

According to recent reports, the next-gen 2021 Toyota Harrier has been leaked online on Instagram. The brand is expected to launch the mid-size SUV sometime soon in the Japanese markets. The Toyota Harrier has been existing in the world from the past two decades and has nothing in common with the Tata Harrier, the SUV Indian enthusiasts cherish with all their hearts.

The brand is expected to offer the Harrier with a complete makeover that will distinguish the fourth-gen variant from its past models. Based on the design language of the Lexus RX, the next-gen Toyota Harrier is a crossover SUV featuring a sloping roofline and a longer hood design. The lower height of the 2021 model of the Harrier further makes it resemble the recently unveiled Ford Mach-E that is available in the international markets with an electric powertrain.

Coming to the front fascia, the 2021 Toyota Harrier has been equipped with a sleeker upper grille which further features chrome finishing and is mated to sharper LED headlights. The front bumper has been revised a bit while the full-width chrome strip flowing at the bottom accentuates its overall profile.

The rear of the crossover SUV now features LED tail lights which cover the entire boot while the overall body accents offer it a smoother design. The brand has equipped the fourth-gen Toyota Harrier with a longer hood design while one can further expect it to feature an electrochromic sunroof that can be dimmed accordingly.

The brand has based the 2021 Toyota Harrier on its latest Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). The customers can expect the crossover SUV to be available in the Japanese markets with two engine variants namely a 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 2.5-litre hybrid petrol engine.

The former is expected to offer a maximum power of 172HP and a peak torque of 203Nm while the latter is expected to be good for 211HP of maximum power. The brand is expected to launch the fourth-gen SUV variant in the Japanese markets followed by its launch in Singapore and Malaysia later.
