Toyota C-HR Spotted Testing in India, will Compete with Hyundai Creta

As Toyota recently launched the Yaris and successfully disrupted the sedan culture of India, it seems like they are preparing for the second wave with their C-HR SUV. Hyundai Creta is their primary target and going by the sporty design, it won’t be wrong to judge that buyers will think twice before making a choice.

Still, Hyundai has already updated the Creta with a bigger and bolder grill, leaving no scope of existence for other segment rivals like Terrano and Duster. Parallel to this universe, Tata H5X is also going through high levels of testing and getting ready to add spice to this premium city specific space for cars.

C-HRAs more than 10,000 units of Creta are sold in India every month, this won’t be a wrong step for Toyota to introduce the sporty C-HR this year. More than that, they will also launch a Vitara Brezza based product to cater to the needs of compact SUV lovers of the country.

C-HR was first seen at 2016 Geneva Motor Show, flaunting boomerang inspired tail design that looks unconventional and refreshing for Indian buyers. As they bring a spoiler on top of everything, C-HR definitely looks the coolest of all in its size segment.

C-HRToyota C-HR measures 4360 mm in length, 1795 mm in width and 1565 mm in height. The brand offers 18-inch alloy wheels on the top spec model, making this a segment first feature for cars measuring under 4.5 meter. LED headlight and fog lamps further help driver during low light hours.

The car comes with leather wrapped interiors, 8-inch infotainment system, 9 speaker JBL sound system and sporty steering wheel. Indian version may not get the collision warning system, pedestrian detection, road sign assist and adaptive cruise control feature.
