Toyota’s mini MPV for Indonesia, the Calya has been revealed by the company. It would be brought before the public at 2016 Gaikindo Indonesian International Auto Show. The car falls under Low Cost Green Car category while the availability would be in just E and G variants.
The car measures 4070 mm in length, 1655 mm in width and 1600 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 2525 mm while the ground clearance has been kept at 180 mm. Top Spec Calya comes with features like fog-lights, electrically folding and adjustable mirrors, four speaker with Bluetooth connectivity and silver trim on the interior components.
Even the lower grade is well equipped as it provides power windows, 2-airbags, double din music system with 2 speakers, second row vents and reverse parking sensors. It comes powered by a 1.2 L Dual VVT-i, 4-cylinder engine producing 88 PS @ 6000 rpm and 108 Nm of torque @ 4200 rpm.
The petrol engine of Calya comes mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. As of now, Toyota has no plans to launch the Calya MPV in India. It has been specifically developed for the Indonesia market.
