This is the first price hike of the new year 2022, and the flagship Fortuner’s price has become dearer by up to Rs 1.10 lakh. Speaking of the current price of the premium SUV, it now starts at Rs 31.39 lakh and goes up to Rs 43.43 lakh for the top-end variant. Both prices are ex-showroom.

Apart from Fortuner, the brand has raised the price of Innova Crysta as well, which is now expensive by up to Rs 33,000. Toyota Fortuner Faces 2022’s First Price Hike; Goes Up To Rs 1.10 Lakh Costlier

The price hikes in current times are the result of the manufacturers’ input costs. And hence, we can expect the brand to increase the prices of the rest of the cars in the country as well. It is worth mentioning here that other offered cars by Toyota in the Indian market are the Innova Crysta, Urban Cruiser, Glanza, Camry, and Vellfire. The Urban Cruiser and Glanza are the rebadged models of the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Baleno.

Moreover, in the upcoming months, Toyota has been planning to launch other rebadged models like Belta and Rumion in the Indian car market. Besides, the brand is also speeding up to introduce the Hilux pickup truck to India. This soon-to-be-launched pickup truck is underpinned by the same IMV-2 platform as the Fortuner and is going to rival the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross after being launched. The all-new Hilux is expected to be launched on January 23, 2022, in our country.
