Toyota Fortuner Legender SUV Launched in India: In addition to launching the standard model of the 2021 Fortuner, Toyota has also launched the Fortuner Legender in India. It is available in a single 4×2 diesel-automatic variant with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 37.58 lakhs.
In comparison to the standard model, the Legender version features a different front fascia with an all-black grille, blackened-out components and a different design for the headlights. The Fortuner Legender is available in the Indian markets in only Pearl White shade with a contrast black roof, with just one interior colour scheme: Black with Maroon.
Toyota Fortuner Legender is available with a single engine-gearbox option in India. The 2.8-litre GD diesel engine is capable to generate a maximum power of 204 HP at 3,000-3,400 rpm along with a peak torque of 500 Nm at 1,600-2,800 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox with sequential-shift, shiftlock, and paddle-shift as standard.
In terms of interior, the Fortuner Legender model features a similar design profile in comparison to the standard model though it gets some additional features like a wireless smartphone charger, an updated 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting system, dual-tone seats, 11 JBL speaker music system, and a hands-free smart boot door.
In terms of safety, the Toyota Fortuner Legender is equipped with Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Brake Assist (BA), Traction Assist Control (TAC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electric Braking Distribution (EBD), 7 airbags, front and rear disc brakes, and parking sensors.
