It’s the beginning of a new year, a new phase, and new hopes just like others for automakers as well. After experiencing difficulties owing to BS4 to BS6, Covid-19 breakout, and semiconductor chip scarcity in recent years, all automakers are hoping for the best in 2022 and 2023. A slew of brand new cars, from hatchbacks to luxury SUVs with sophisticated design and technology, is all set to hit the Indian roads this year and in 2023.
One of the biggest automakers in the country, Maruti Suzuki, is racing to introduce its new group of cars to the Indian vehicle market this year. As we all know, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift, Brezza, Alto, S-Cross, and Jimny have been in the works for quite some time, and the soonest to launch among these is the Maruti Baleno, which is most likely to be launched in February 2022. The automaker is working on both EVs and IC-engine vehicles like the Mahindra eKUV100 and the next-gen Mahindra Scorpio. While the eKUV100 is anticipated to be launched in the first quarter of 2022, the next-gen Scorpio is anticipated to be introduced around October 2022.
Just like Mahindra, the South Korean carmaker, Hyundai is also actively working on new cars like the Creta Facelift, Venue Facelift, and Hyundai Tucson. Creta has already piqued the interest of a large number of people, and Indian car buyers are eagerly anticipating its release. The Hyundai Creta Facelift has gone through a plethora of cosmetic upgrades and is likely to make its official debut in March-April this year.
Moreover, the Korean automaker, Kia, is all set to launch its 4th product in the country, which is its all-new MPV, Carens. The brand has already unveiled the car officially, and its new design and technology have already sparked the interest of car buyers. Skoda is currently working on two new cars: the Skoda Kodiaq Facelift and the brand-new Skoda Slavia. After witnessing a slack in the Indian car market, the carmaker is all set to increase sales and gain popularity again in the country.
The country’s other biggest carmaker, Tata Motors, also has some new cars in its pack for Indian car lovers who are waiting for new launches. As per the details available, Tata is already working on the next-gen Altroz, and it will also be available in automatic and CNG variants.
