2021 Volkswagen T-Roc Launched in India: Volkswagen has officially launched the 2021 model of T-Roc in the Indian markets with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 21.35 lakhs. The bookings are already open while the deliveries of the car are expected to commence from next month. For your reference, the MY2020 was launched in India back in March last year for INR 19.99 lakhs. The premium SUV continues to be imported to the Indian markets as a CBU unit.
Mechanically available in a single-engine option, the T-Roc SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol TSI engine that produces 150HP of maximum power along with 250Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox as standard. Talking about the performance, the SUV reaches from 0-100kmph in 8.4 seconds and it has a top speed of 205kmph.
Going by the design, the T-Roc looks unique although featuring the signature VW styling all around. It gets large wheel arches, a sloping rear windscreen, and rectangular LED elements that reside below the headlamps. The cabin of the car continues to remind you of other Volkswagen models with its fairly conventional dashboard design but it uses coloured inserts to enhance the overall looks.
In terms of safety, the SUV comes loaded with six airbags, ABS with EBD, a parking camera and a tyre pressure monitoring system. As the T-Roc is available in a single trim, it comes in a pack with a fair list of equipment that includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, full-LED headlamps, and taillamps, dual-tone alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, a digital instrument cluster, dual-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and Vienna leather seats.
The VW T-Roc SUV competes with the likes of Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur, Jeep Compass, and Tata Harrier. The 2021 model of T-Roc is available in six colours – Kurkuma Yellow, Indium Grey, Flash Red, Ravenna Blue and Pure White, and Deep Black Pearl.
