Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus was recently launched with LED headlights at INR 10.84 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai). The same can be bought in three different engines with choice between manual and DSG transmission.

Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus Launched @ INR 10.84 lakh

The petrol manual variant is INR 92,000 over the Highline trim while automatic petrol as well as diesel model gets a hike of INR 90,000 over the second highest trim. The new car will be the perfect competitor for newly launched Honda City while Maruti Ciaz stays behind in the race with basic projectors. Hyundai will even launch the new Verna this year, fulfilling the executive sedan segment of India with tough rivals.

The most power engine on the new Vento is the tried and tested 1498cc, TDI motor producing 110 HP at 4000 rpm and 250 Nm at 1500-3000 rpm. The engine comes with both the gearbox options. The petrol 1.2 liter, turbocharged engine produces 105 HP at 5000 rpm and 175 Nm at 1500-4100 rpm. It simply carries the DSG gearbox and carries more torque than the bigger 1598 cc, naturally aspirated petrol engine.
