Meet Fully-Restored 2-Stroke Jawa Maria 250: EIMOR Customs, one of the renowned customization shops in India, recently restored a 1962 Jawa and what you see here looks like a brand new motorcycle. The customizers first removed every part from the frame and listed which ones can be restored and used them back for an authentic feel.

The customizers then started the search for genuine Jawa parts and once finished, they started filling the motorcycle with life through their selection of highlights and elegant shades. The signature Jawa 1962 feel has been kept alive through same fuel tank design highlights as seen on the original version, and we must mention that it looks simply amazing.

The seat used here is single and well-padded, perfectly matching to the shade selected for surrounding section of side panels and fender areas. The creamy shade used on the motorcycle looks even more premium in combination with the contrasting dark finish.

Being twin-cylinder and 250cc in displacement, the 2-stroke engine of this Jawa has been completely rebuilt to achieve the best possible performance and quality out of the motorcycle.

EIMOR Customs has named the restored motorcycle as ‘Maria’ after the only ruling queen of the Czech Republic. The front-wheel used here is 19-inch while the rear is 16-inch in size like most of the classic Jawa motorcycles. The customizers have even changed the entire electrical system from vintage-spec Dynamo based system to a battery system.

EIMOR has used custom front and rear lights, different front suspension and colour-coordinated handlebar grips on this Jawa 1962. The tyres of the motorcycle carry thick treads while the perfectly-finished chrome highlight casing seals the deal for being the finest example of a retro-modern machine.

A whitesmith console further helps in flaunting pure elegance through Maria for its owner. Above all, EIMOR Customs has added an effective front disc brake system to make this example safer than all other presently-running retro Jawa bikes in India. One can also find engraved chrome pieces on both sides with EIMOR branding.

Launched in 1993, the 325cc Royal Enfield Taurus (Bullet Diesel) motorcycle was specifically made for the Indian market in order to kerb the rising trend of fitting a custom diesel engine in the 350cc Bullet frame. Taurus was once a household name but soon vanished with the implementation of stricter emission norms in India.

Popularly known as Bullet Diesel, the Taurus looks almost the same as the standard Bullet model but has a different scene when its engine bay is considered. The fully-restored Royal Enfield Taurus from ParPin’s garage not just looks clean but even carries the most neatly-arranged diesel engine. Looking at a closeup shot of its engine may create a false feeling of looking at a brand new engine.

ParPin’s Garage has used army green shade for all body components while the remaining parts are finished in black shade for a perfect contrast. In fact, the restoration and paint scheme makes it hard to guess that this bike used to exist a couple of decades back. The restorers have used three-spoke black alloy wheels in place of the stock spoke rims.

As the Taurus existed before the major change in Royal Enfield’s engine lineup, the left side brake layout makes it even more unique to ride. The Bullet Diesel used to feature a chrome exhaust while ParPin’s Garage has finished the same exhaust in matt black colour. The seat used here remains the same as the stock model of the 325cc Taurus.

Restored 325cc Royal Enfield Taurus Diesel

Royal Enfield’s 325cc diesel engine was good for just 6.5 HP @ 3600 rpm of maximum power and 15 Nm @ 2500 rpm of maximum torque. The brand used to claim around 70kmpl of real-world mileage and this made Taurus the least fuel-consuming machine in its era. A few reports regarding the top speed state that it falls between 80-90 kmph.

Royal Enfield is currently the oldest production motorcycle company and Bullet-inspired design seems to be the most familiar one of its time. Currently, the brand sells more than 50,000 units each month with Classic 350 as the best-selling model.

There are hundreds of splendid modifications offered to the widely cherished prodigy of the late 80s. But when it comes to the Yamaha RX100, there are certain compelling customizations that need immediate recognition. A recently restored and modified Yamaha RX100 by FIXUP Motorcycle Garage in Nashik has come to the attention and judging from the resultant modification, one can easily understand the amount of effort and sheer techniques used by the customizers.

According to the customizers, the Yamaha RX100 was brought to them in a scrap condition. The resultant product now features a combination of the white fuel tank with matte black body panels as well as a premium leather Sahara seat which undoubtedly offers the motorcycle a stunning look.

The customizers have equipped the motorcycle with a single pod instrument console which has been placed just above the LED headlight. In addition to this, the FIXUP Motorcycle Garage has also revised the tail light on the motorcycle and it is now a single unit positioned on the rear mudguard mated to the unique LED indicators.

The bulkier fuel tank design accentuates the overall profile of the customized motorcycle while features a neatly designed Yamaha logo with FIXUP Motorcycle Garage branding just below it. The motorcycle features spoke wheels shod on Michelin Sirac Street tyres while the exhaust muffler has been replaced with a modern unit covered in matte black detailing. The front indicators have been integrated neatly inside the handlebar while the use of rubber bar ends adds to its premium outlook.

The customizers have not shared any information on the mechanical changes offered to the motorcycle. In stock condition, the Yamaha RX100 is powered by a 98cc, single-cylinder, two-stroke engine that is capable of offering maximum power 11HP @ 7500rpm. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox.

For more details and queries, you can contact FIXUP Motorcycle Garage: Joshua – 9028500077, Sandy – 9022544431. Royal Enfield Explorer 50 is an exclusive nameplate that most fans must have heard for the first time. The model seen here is a 1988 Explorer with 49cc of engine displacement and a retro 3-speed gearbox.

R Deena Dayalan, a motorcycle collector, has a collection of classic machines and this motorcycle is one of his prized possessions, perfectly restored and finished in the blue shade for a head-turning appeal.

The motorcycle was purchased for a price of INR 10,000 and it took around INR 24,000 for the restoration process. Being a 2-stroke motorcycle, the small engine takes the motorcycle to a top speed of 60kph.

Explorer 50 features an old Enfield logo on the fuel tank while the suspension and brake components have been completely restored. The flat seat looks very comfortable while the footpegs have been placed like a commuter motorcycle. The Explorer 50 used to come with alloy wheels as stock while the design is quite unique in comparison to other Enfield motorcycles.

Royal Enfield was known for its 350cc and 500cc engine options in the 1980s. The tyre size on the Explorer 50 is very thin in comparison to the rest of the Royal Enfield bikes of that time. The engine has been completely restored to achieve that black/silver finish, similar to a new motorcycle.

The front suspension features black rubber covers while the seat has a familiar white line running through the side. The headlight is rectangular in shape while the console also flaunts the Enfield logo at the front side.

The motorcycle features a raised handlebar, chrome luggage carrier, and extended rear fender with body-coloured panels. The front fender is finished in chrome like the original Enfield Explorer 50. The brand is known for huge displacement motorcycles and that makes Explorer a unique offering among all other products like Bullet and Thunderbird.

The matte grey Yamaha RX100 by Vedansh Automobile (Dehradun) confirms that simplicity can be the key to success. The humble favourite motorcycle of all time features chrome and black alloy wheels, which definitely counts under additions to the regular motorcycle with spoke chrome wheels.

The restored and customized model you see here comes with a neat matte grey paint finish with precise pinstripes on all parts. The seat is standard, available with the thick chrome bar that acts as a grab rail for the Yamaha RX100. The front and rear fender feature a matte grey colour scheme while the belly pan also features Yamaha branding.

Matte Grey Yamaha RX100 Video

The matte grey body finish as seen on this Yamaha RX100 is worth praising as models without this amount of restoration are seen with rusted paint and unfinished highlights. Even those painted without giving the utmost attention to detail can get grains in the surface. Vedansh Automobile primarily works on these sort of motorcycles by keeping the modifications minimum and focusing more on the surface finish.

The video by Vedansh Automobile also features the astonishing exhaust sound of the Yamaha RX100. The motorcycle is powered by a 98cc, single-cylinder, 2-stroke engine, producing 11Bhp @ 7500 rpm and 10.39Nm @ 6500 rpm. The mighty RX100 was discontinued in order to honour the BS3 emission norms in the Indian market.

Yamaha RX 135 is one of the most treasured motorcycles of the 90s and has been able to register a splendid sales record during its lifetime. Continuing the legacy alive, Rebel Customs, a customization shop in Ludhiana has recently modified an RX 135 into a cafe racer motorcycle.

Gobinda, one of the RX 135 enthusiasts bought the motorcycle in scrap condition for just INR 2500 and took it to Rebel customs for restoration and modification. The modifiers took around 6 months to restore the Yamaha RX 135. The conversion of the scrap motorcycle to a splendid cafe racer is something unique enough to grab major attention on the road. The total cost of customisation of this Yamaha RX 135 turned out to be around INR 50,000.

Coming to the cosmetic changes, the modifiers have redesigned the fuel tank of the motorcycle which is now a handmade unit with dominating lines. The fuel tank is further finished in an “Icy Blue” colour detailing while all the other blacked-out components add on to the unique design of the cafe racer. The overall lightweight profile of the customized motorcycle is perfect for mild off-roading as well as daily commuting.

The modifiers have further replaced the Sahara seat on the Yamaha RX 135 with a redesigned single-seat saddle. Rebel Customs has removed the toolbox from the stock motorcycle and has offered chrome detailing to the rear and the front suspension.

Apart from the cosmetic changes, the motorcycle’s engine has also been tweaked a bit to offer optimum power. In the stock condition, the Yamaha RX 135 features a 132cc, single-cylinder, 2-stroke engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 14HP and a peak torque of 12.25Nm. The engine remains mated to a 5-speed transmission.

The kerb weight of the stock model of the motorcycle stands at 116kgs. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with an adjustable swing arm unit. The motorcycle features 130mm drum brakes at either side.

Yamaha RX 135 is one of the most famous motorcycles with a 2-stroke engine that defines the legacy of the brand in the Indian market. The star performer of its time has been recently restored by Vedansh Automobile from Dehradun. The fully-restored 2004 model of the RX 135 retains the same stunning exterior like that of its standard version though features a Candy Red paint job.

There aren’t any mechanical changes made to the restored motorcycle. It continues to be powered by a 132cc, 2-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is capable of producing a maximum power of 14HP at 7500 rpm and an utmost torque of 12.25 Nm at 7000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear of the bike gets dual shock absorbers. The Yamaha RX 135 gets 130mm drum brakes at either end. The company-claimed top speed of the motorcycle stands at 110 kmph.

Fully Restored Yamaha RX 135

Retaining the duplex double cradle type frame, the customization made to the motorcycle includes a redesigned handlebar from Protaper. The grab rail of the motorcycle has been altered a little bit and the open-ended design doesn’t gel with the classic design of the Yamaha RX 135. The instrument console, chrome spoke wheels, as well as the headlight, retains their retro originality.

Restored Yamaha RD350 by ‘The Royal Restorers’: Yamaha RD350 is a prized possession for its owner in every manner. The popular 2-stroke bike was once the most powerful motorcycles for the Indian market, carrying a twin-cylinder 347cc engine that was good for 30.5 BHP at 6750 rpm and 32.3 Nm at 6500 rpm. This helped it claim the winning spot over the popular models like Royal Enfield Bullet and other RX models of its time. Finding one in a brand new condition is a rare possibility. ‘The Royal Restorers’ can help your wandering soul get some rest with their fully restored RD350.

Perfectly Restored Yamaha RD350
Perfectly Restored Yamaha RD350 by ‘The Royal Restorers’

The original bike was lost in the harsh hands of time, carrying rusted parts like bad rims, engine parts, exhaust and even both the fenders. The fuel tank had lost all its charm with excessive rust on all sides. The paint was even dead and carried no shine at all. It took a lot of effort for the restoration of this Yamaha RD350 as every single part was to be removed and then restored for the best effect. The bike was totally stripped down to bare bones and the work was started at full throttle. The engine was overhauled and tuned for better performance.

Yamaha-RD350-Royal-Restorers-22

Every component was restored to the original condition, Chrome was reapplied over all the parts and the fuel tank has been finished in pure White. Yamaha moniker was placed proudly on both the sides while the engine was completely finished in Black and Chrome for added appeal. The Chrome wheels with all-new tyres looked stunning while both the fenders look even better than the ones used on present day bikes. It would be hard to guess the feelings of true Yamaha fan after having the glimpse of such a beautiful example of an RD350 in front of their eyes.

Unlike the one finished in White, two other RD350s were finished in Red and Black respectively. The Royal Restorers would need around 45 days to turn a regular rusted RD350 into this superb motorcycling marvel. The precision in their work can be seen within every bit of these three motorcycles. Choosing a shade is more of a personal opinion but looking at that perfectly finished White RD350 will definitely take many riders back into the era of 2-stroke riding. The cost estimations will vary with the needs of the customer.

Yamaha RX Fleet recently restored this 2003 Yamaha RX135 and brought back the full glory associated with the model. The total cost of restoration was INR 23,000 and every single part now speaks for itself after the applaudable work. The fuel tank and side panels are painted in the black shade while Yamaha and RX135 monikers are seen on the places where they were originally seen in 2003.

The golden highlight on the fuel tank looks elegant while a bright stripe runs right under the same for a premium feel. The front and rear fenders are entirely chrome while suspension setup at the front features chrome headlight-holder and silver-finished lower section.

The alloy wheels were not available as standard on the motorcycle but, the 3-spoke design was very popular from 2005-2010. The same design was favoured by most Royal Enfield owners, with some even going for the two-spoke design with massive curved attachments.

The motorcycle is already seen with a leg guard and fully-restored engine section that looks next to new with the intense detailing effort by the Yamaha RX Fleet. The rear comes with black springs and chrome covers like most bikes of that era.

The visible grabrail and round yellow indicators are identical to the parts that Yamaha offered in 2003. The instrument console features three-pod design with centre section carrying the speedometer and odometer. The exhaust on the motorcycle is finished in chrome from the tip to the outer end.

Yamaha RX135 is powered by a 132cc, two-stroke engine producing 14 HP of maximum power and 12.25 Nm of torque. The low 116 kg of weight makes it an impressive bike as one can imagine KTM 125 Duke with 148 kg of weight and 14.5 HP of maximum power. The two-stroke engines were really powerful in comparison to the present-gen motors.

Yamaha RX 100 is notably the most frugal product of its kind. Some owners are in true love with the machine and perfect restorations for the 2-stroke commuter are a proof that even modifiers understand the need of keeping the 2-stroke king in its original form. This restored Yamaha RX 100 can take you back into time by almost 2 decades as even the brand could get excited by watching this machine perform in a timeless manner. The black body paint with golden pinstripes is directly derived from the original paint finish of the motorcycle. The engine bay is also restored with the elegant silver finish.

The front fender is also painted completely in chrome while the seat was given a slight custom touch with a ribbed design. The instrument console, chrome spoke wheels and every element from the headlight section screams originality. Yamaha RX 100 is powered by a 98cc, single cylinder engine producing 11 BHP at 7500 rpm and 10.39 Nm at 6500 rpm. The bike weighs 103 kg in the stock condition while the 100 kph of top speed was another segment-leading achievement. The grab rail is also the original one seen on the stock motorcycle, running all the way parallel to the rear seat for added utility
