At present, Pulsar RS200 is the flagship Pulsar motorcycle in the brand’s product portfolio. This typical RS200 Grey Edition by DS Design looks even more classy in comparison to the stock model of the bike, highlighting the unique design profile of the sportbike through red inserts at selected places. The motorcycle gets custom placed ‘Race Sport’ and ‘RS200’ monikers on its front fascia while the ‘Grey Edition’ sticker is placed on the rear panel.

The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Grey Edition by DS Design features a gloss black shade with matt grey inserts on the front fascia, side fairing, fenders, and the under-seat panels. The red inserts are placed all over the motorcycle, covering the fuel tank, grey sections, tyre pinstripes and the front projector outlines.

The windscreen gets a faux carbon fibre finish while the same can even be spotted on the exhaust of the motorcycle. The model is ABS-equipped and gets the ABS moniker highlighted through red letters. Apart from these cosmetic changes, no performance upgrade has been offered to this Pulsar RS200.

200cc Bajaj-Triumph Bike Pricing and Launch Details: Bajaj and Triumph officially announced their partnership at a press conference back in January this year. The resultant collaboration of the brands will churn out motorcycles whose production will be handled by Bajaj while Triumph will be responsible for handling the branding.

As per the official details available, Bajaj and Triumph will be launching an all-new 200cc single-cylinder bike with an ex-showroom price tag of under INR 2 lakh while the motorcycle will start arriving at the dealerships sometime in the year 2022.

It has also been confirmed that all the motorcycles developed under the partnership will be sold under the Triumph brand name while Bajaj will only handle the production at its Chakan plant in Pune. One can further expect the partnership to bring out the motorcycles ranging from 200cc displacement going all the way up to 750cc. Apart from this, the alliance between Bajaj and Triumph will give birth to an all-new motorcycle platform though no official details have been confirmed regarding the same.

200cc Bajaj-Triumph Bike to be Priced Under INR 2 Lakh

Since the motorcycles are expected to be positioned under the Triumph’s “Heritage” range in the brand’s portfolio, one can expect the upcoming motorcycles to be neo-retro cruisers with well-engineered design. The motorcycles developed from the alliance will be distributed in the international markets as well.

There has been no official confirmation on what kind of motorcycle variants will be developed from the partnership though the chances of retro cruisers seem to be quite high. When launched in India, the neo-retro cruisers from Bajaj and Triumph will compete in the market with the likes of brands like Royal Enfield as well as Jawa.

SV Stickers, a motorcycle modification shop in Chennai has revealed a customized Bajaj Pulsar NS200 V2 with a matching helmet. The customizers have also worked on a Fluorescent Green NS200 for another client recently. The reason they are calling this one as NS200 V2 is that the modification has been further improved in terms of the colour placement and the modifiers have completed the motorcycle’s overall look with a customized helmet featuring the same shade.

The customized Pulsar NS200 V2 features a unique fluorescent and black detailing on the body panels. Coming to the front fascia, SV Stickers has offered the fuel tank with fluorescent green patterns that are quite different from the one they offered to Version 1. In addition to this, the same black and fluorescent green patterns have been carried onto the front mudguard which gets a prominent black detailing on top.

The fluorescent green wrap has also been offered to the rear panels of the motorcycle while one can also spot the same coloured hints on the alloy wheels. Apart from these, all the body panels of the motorcycle feature an all-black detailing which complements its unique styling.

The modifiers have also equipped the bike with unique upside-down bar-end rearview mirrors. The same fluorescent green and black detailing has also been offered to the motorcycle’s helmet. The motorcycle and helmet duo with the same overall wrap job is perfect to grab attention on the roads.

Apart from the cosmetic changes, the wrapped Bajaj Pulsar NS200 V2 remains mechanically unaltered. Powering the motorcycle is the same 199.5cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that can generate a maximum power of 23.5HP and a peak torque of 18.3Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

No Bajaj-Branded Motorcycles from Bajaj-Triumph Deal: According to recent reports, the Bajaj-Triumph partnership which took roots back in January 2020 will not introduce a premium motorcycle with Bajaj branding.

According to the non-equity treaty signed between the two brands, the Indian markets will witness the launch of motorcycles in the 200cc-750cc category under the partnership though, the first-ever bike to be made available will feature a Triumph branding and will actually cost less than INR 2 lakh.

In addition to this, the brands will churn out a host of motorcycles in the different displacement and style segments for the Indian markets that will be manufactured at the Bajaj Chakan plant in Pune.

No Bajaj-Branded Motorcycles
No Bajaj-Branded Motorcycles from Bajaj-Triumph Deal

According to Rajiv Bajaj, Bajaj Auto is a mass-market brand and the introduction of a premium motorcycle under such brand name would not make sense and won’t be able to sell in mass numbers. Though Bajaj has become the only distributor of the Triumph motorcycles in the Indian as well as other markets, it has decided to play in the backend and manufacture the motorcycles under the Triumph branding. Moreover, Bajaj already features multiple bikes in the segment that will be manufactured from the partnership.

The reports also suggest that the upcoming Triumph bikes will be based on KTM platforms that have been designed in India. This way, Bajaj will be able to save the production cost as the upcoming motorcycle portfolio will share the same parts while at the same time, it will allow Bajaj to price them at attractive prices for the Indian audience.

The Triumph motorcycle that would be the maiden motorcycle developed from the partnership of Triumph and Bajaj will be priced below INR 2 lakh and will be the entry-level motorcycle that will feature a KTM Duke 200 inspired 200cc engine. The future can further witness the launch of Triumph motorcycles based on the KTM Duke 250 and 390 platforms though one can also expect the new portfolio to feature a bike in the twin-cylinder motorcycle segment as well.

The BS6 2020 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon is the most amazing motorcycle that one can buy in the entry-level performance segment. Apart from the price point, the overall power output plus the build quality of the product makes it the best-selling sport-commuter motorcycle in the Indian market. Here are 7 reasons to buy the Pulsar 150 Neon in India.

2019 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon
Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon

BS6 2020 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon

7 Reasons to Buy the Sport-Commuter Bike

1) Value for Money – The most powerful factor to drive a huge audience, the ex-showroom price for the BS6 Pulsar 150 Neon is INR 85,500. In comparison to this, the Honda CB Unicorn 160 BS6 is priced at INR 93,500. The performance-quotient of Pulsar 150 Neon is much better than any other option for sure. The on-road price for buyers will fall under INR 1 lakh.

2) Powerful & Reliable Engine – You must have seen a lot of people riding their Pulsar from home to work from last one decade and wonder how they manage all that? The reliable Pulsar engine lasts longer with proper care and not just that, the overall output of 14HP @ 8500 rpm and 13.25Nm @ 6500 rpm is truly satisfying. You never feel like owning a rocket but no single overtake will disappoint you in the city conditions.

Neon Yellow

3) Elegant Color Options – The BS6 2020 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon is available in Neon Lime Green, Neon Red, and Neon Silver paint schemes. The first one comes with matt grey base shade and lime green highlights like the badges and grabrail while the other two have gloss black paint finish and matching badge finish with their names. The silver version can take you back in time as it looks identical to the variant that was sold before the tank shrouds on regular versions came into existence.

4) Impressive Fuel Tank Capacity – The regular visits to a petrol pump can be annoying for sure. The 15-litre fuel tank on the Pulsar 150 Neon, that too with a medium hand on the throttle, can result in almost 600km of range from one full tank. Also, those who ride on the same route for a decent distance every day will enjoy more as just two refills can bring a happy month of riding to them.

Neon Red
Neon Red

5) Service Interval & Touchpoints – The BS6 2020 Bajaj Pulsar 150 Neon has a longer-than-usual service interval in comparison to other bikes of this segment. Also, the large number of Bajaj dealerships and service centres can help the rider stay stress-free all the time.

6) Single-Channel ABS – The motorcycle features a single-channel ABS unit as standard. The braking performance on the new model has been improved, and the beginners can get nothing better than this to improve their riding skills on the Indian roads.

7) Affordable Spares & High Resale Value – The cost of spares is also reasonable for the most affordable 150cc Pulsar in the company lineup. Apart from the low cost of ownership, the high resale value for the Pulsar brand makes it great for those who wish to upgrade their ride after using a motorcycle for 2-3 years.

Back in 2018, Bajaj officially showcased a customized Pulsar NS200 with a set of touring accessories at the Istanbul Motorbike Show. The accessorized touring model of the NS200 features a headlamp cover, an engine guard, luggage carriers with removable mounts, aluminium inserts, knuckle guards and a navigation device with a separate mount.

At present, Bajaj Auto has no official plans to launch these accessories for the Pulsar NS200 in India though one can get the same kind of modification done from a customization shop. The accessorized version of the Pulsar NS200 pays a tribute to the Pulsar AS200, which is a discontinued model. The name literally translated to Adventure Sports but was unable to survive the changing trend in sales.

It was a mild adventure machine as in comparison to the NS200, the Pulsar fans expected the AS200 to get features like an adjustable windscreen, more ground clearance, and even better tyres. But Bajaj Auto only provided a front visor and a different set of side panels to differentiate the AS200 from the NS200 and eventually, due to poor sales in the Indian market, the brand discontinued the motorcycle.

As per a recent report, Bajaj Auto has promised that the AS series will make a comeback and expecting a strict off-road specific motorcycle will not be a wrong idea. Bajaj Pulsar series is highly sophisticated as you can get a variety of models ranging from commuter sportbikes to track-specific race machines.

Bajaj recently launched the BS6-compliant model of the Pulsar NS200 in the Indian market with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.25 lakh. It is powered by a 199.5cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which is good for 24.5HP of power and 18.5Nm of torque. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
