The 2019 Ducati Diavel 1260 has been launched in the Indian market at a starting price tag of INR 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The cruiser motorcycle was initially unveiled at EICMA 2018 with a host of design updates including a bigger engine as well as better riding ergonomics. The motorcycle is available in the markets in two variants namely: standard variant and the top-spec Diavel 1260 S variant. The S model is available in India for INR 19.25 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand has updated the motorcycle with a completely new chassis and a new trellis frame.

The already massive machine has grown into an even more mature machine, getting parts on some places that were left untreated on the last version. The fuel tank features proper shrouds that seem to get air channelization as a feature. Exactly down the line, a buyer gets another stylish panel with self-cancelling integrated indicators, looking beautiful from every point of view.

The lowermost panel is a proper belly pan with sharp end for the upcoming model. The exhaust stays stubby and well designed for a motorcycle of this segment. The new LED headlight and the LED indicators offer the machine a meaner and sharper look.

The Diavel 1260 is offered in three driving modes namely: Urban, Touring and Sport. The Urban mode will be capable of offering a smoother throttle response in addition to power limited to 100 HP, the touring mode offers full power though smoother throttle response. On the other hand, the more aggressive Sport mode will offer full power as well as more aggressive throttle response.

Ducati Diavel 1260 is powered by a new Testastretta DVT 1262cc, twin-cylinder engine, producing 159 HP at 9,500 rpm and 129 Nm at 7,500 rpm of torque. The values can put many street bikes to shame as the huge looking machine weighs still 218 kg.

The suspension duties are handled by 50mm upside-down forks and a monoshock absorber at the rear for the standard Diavel 1260 while the Diavel 1260S features fully adjustable 48mm USD forks at the front and the rear of the bike has been equipped with a monoshock from Ohlins.

The motorcycle gets 320mm twin disc brakes at the front with Brembo M50 Monobloc callipers while it features a single disc brake at the rear.

The rear end comes with dual taillights that are placed in such a manner that the huge tail width feels normal to an amateur eye. The front comes with golden upside-down forks, massive Brembo sourced brakes and multiple spoke alloy wheels with a pure black finish.

The frame is painted Red at the front and black on the rear side. Ducati Diavel 1260 offers wide seating with an abundance of support for the rider and a decent amount of rear width. The sporty cruiser comes with xDiavel style parts, making it partly a street machine with equally impressive cruising abilities.

Following its every year’s trend, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has officially teased its fans by releasing a banner which says – “Ducati 2020 World Premiere”. The company will unveil the new and updated models at the upcoming event on October 23 this year. Since the announcement, speculations have been flooding the internet which states that the new model can be the production version of the Ducati Streetfighter V4, the naked version of the Panigale V4 superbike.

The teaser image does not reveal any details of the upcoming product as the motorcycle featured in the banner is hidden under a bike cover with a Ducati logo. In a recent update, we witnessed a production-ready version of the Streetfighter V4 Prototype with a few camouflage tapes that concealed the design details of the bike. On digging deep into the design profile we realised that the fuel tank under the wrap didn’t match up with that of the Streetfighter.

Another speculation claims that the bike in the teaser image, that has managed to capture everyone’s interest, could be the 2020 Ducati Multistrada V4. Sources have claimed that the company has been developing a flagship Multistrada model that will be equipped with a 1103cc V4 Stradale engine that made its debut on the Panigale V4 superbike.

As per one of the recent updates, the spy pictures of a test mule has been spotted in Italy that is believed to be the much-awaited 2020 Multistrada. The V4 engine is capable to generate a maximum power of 214HP and offers a peak torque of 124Nm. The engine is expected to be tuned to suit the characteristics of the next-gen adventure tourer. Apart from all these speculations, it is also being said that the upcoming bike is the 2020 model of the xDiavel cruiser motorcycle.

Ducati Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 Launched in India (Official Press Release) – In 2019 a quarter of a century will have elapsed since the Ducati 916 arrived on the global stage, forever changing the Superbike world. Born from Massimo Tamburini’s sketches, this bike has revolutionized the world of motorcycle design and has made fans fall in love all over the planet. Incredibly innovative in its style, elegance, lightweight and compactness, by many it’s believed to be the sexiest and most iconic bike ever built.

The Ducati 916 wasn’t just a beautiful bike and an enormous sales success. It also won World Superbike championships: the 916 SBK was a force to be reckoned with even as it made its debut in 1994, and the following years saw it win 120 races, 8 constructors’ titles and 6 riders’ titles, four of them with Carl Fogarty. The Englishman has won 55 races with Ducati, of wich 43 riding a Ducati 916 SBK and 996 SBK. “King Carl” and the 916 remain the most successful “couple” in Ducati SBK history.

Ducati has decided to celebrate this anniversary by building a special 916-dedicated version of the Panigale V4. Hence the genesis of the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916: a unique limited-edition bike of only 500 pieces, designed to let all true Ducatisti re-live the spirit of the 916.

The “25° Anniversario 916” is built on the mechanics of the Panigale V4 S. This has been upgraded with racing content from the Panigale V4 R such as the Front Frame, designed to Ducati Corse specifications. The look of the bike combines a special livery with forged magnesium wheels, a titanium type-approved Akrapovič exhaust and a long list of Ducati Performance components.

For its world-first preview, Ducati chose round nine of the Superbike World Championship, taking place this weekend at Laguna Seca (California, USA). Here, Francesco Milicia (VP Global Sales & After Sales Director Ducati Motor Holding), Jason Chinnock (CEO Ducati North America) and Carl Fogarty unveiled the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916.

The presentation of the bike was also an occasion of remembrance, honouring Californian Carlin Dunne, the Spider Grips Ducati team rider who recently died at Pikes Peak. Jason Chinnock announced Ducati’s decision to remove the number 5 from selling, the same number that Dunne used to race with. The bike will be auctioned, with proceeds going to a fund-raising effort aimed at providing Carlin’s mother with support.

Sergi Canovas, Managing Director of Ducati India said, “The Ducati 916 is one of the most iconic motorcycles to have come out of the Borgo Panigale factory and it redefined design and performance at its time. At Ducati, we’re very proud of our heritage and what better way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the 916 than to produce an ultra-exclusive version of the Panigale V4, recognizing our present and the past. The Panigale V4 25° Anniversary 916 is coming to India and I’m sure bike enthusiasts and collectors alike will appreciate its uniqueness.”

“I’m thrilled to be here at this event,” stated Carl Fogarty after riding the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 onto the stage at Pebble Beach. “The Ducati 916 gave me some fantastic, unforgettable moments. It played a starring role in my career and in the history of the World Superbike Championship. On the wider motorcycling scene, it set a whole new standard of style and performance. I’m proud to have played a pivotal role in that success story, and equally proud to be here today and celebrate this important anniversary by officially unveiling this breath-taking bike.”

Starting from Saturday morning, the Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 will go on display at Ducati Island (the space Ducati traditionally sets aside for its fans during American races).

The Panigale V4 25° Anniversario 916 will arrive in dealerships starting from October 2019 at a price of INR 54,90,000 Ex-showroom (price is country-specific).

New Delhi, 9th July 2019: Luxury motorcycle brand Ducati today announced the launch of the all-new Multistrada 1260 Enduro in India at a price of INR 19,99,000 (Ex-Showroom India). The Multistrada 1260 Enduro is a combination of performance and comfort that takes riders beyond boundaries while making travels unforgettable both on-road and off-road. The motorcycle is designed to traverse continents and hence, is equipped with top drawer components to enhance its off-road and touring capabilities.

Sergi Canovas, Managing Director of Ducati India said, “With its debut back in 2016, Multistrada 1200 Enduro made its place among the hearts of adventure motorcyclists and now, Multistrada 1260 Enduro presents a much more refined and an out-and-out adventure biking experience. The all-new adventure tourer is armed with all the necessary credentials to take on the toughest terrains that can be thrown at it. Built to impress, the all-new Multistrada 1260 Enduro is now more accessible and is poised to impress & excite hardcore adventure riders. Occupying the sporty end of the adventure bike spectrum, the Multistrada 1260 Enduro marks an all-new chapter for true off-road enthusiasts and adventure tourers in India.”

The all-new Multistrada 1260 Enduro is equipped with new 1262cc Ducati Testastretta DVT which ensures outstanding pulling power right from the low-to-mid rev range. In fact, 85% of maximum torque is already available below 3,500 rpm with a 17% increase at 5,500 rpm as compared to the torque curve on the engine of the previous model. This makes the Multistrada 1260 Enduro the motorcycle with the highest torque (at 4,000 rpm, the most common rev rate while riding) in its category.

While the new Ducati Multistrada 1260 Enduro provides impressive performance, power delivery is kept under control thanks to the Riding Modes, the new Ride by Wire function which ensures both smoother throttle control and outstanding safety, and the DQS (Ducati Quick Shift) Up & Down, which significantly improves the ride experience by ensuring precise, fluid upshift and downshift gear meshing.

The Multistrada 1260 Enduro is perfect for long-distance adventure rides, thanks to spoked wheels – 19’’ at the front and 17’’ at the rear. Featuring electronic semi-active Sachs suspension (with 185 mm of travel both front and rear) and a 30-litre fuel tank, the Multistrada 1260 Enduro is, with a range of 450 km (280 miles) and beyond, an unstoppable globetrotter on any terrain.

The new Multistrada is more comfortable and fun to ride in any condition due to the revised ergonomics – seat, handlebar, and centre of gravity (all lower than on the 1200 version) and new suspension setup.

The new Multistrada 1260 Enduro boasts of the most advanced electronics package in the segment. The new 6-axis Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) controls Bosch ABS Cornering, Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL) and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC). Riders can set both DWC and DTC to one of 8 different levels, or simply deactivate them. Also, as-standard on the Multistrada 1260 Enduro is Vehicle Hold Control (VHC), which makes uphill starts easier, especially with a full load. Lastly, the Bosch IMU also interacts with the semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) Evolution control system.

A sophisticated new Human Machine Interface (HMI) is ensured – via a 5’’ TFT colour display, user-friendly switchgear controls and Ducati Multimedia System (DMS). The DMS connects the bike to the rider’s smartphone via Bluetooth, giving access to all key multimedia functions (incoming calls, text messaging, music). It also features cruise control and a hands-free system for easy and comfortable riding.

The Multistrada 1260 Enduro ensures carefree riding even on the longest adventures as it has long maintenance intervals: the oil only needs changing every 15,000 km (9000 miles) while a Desmo Service is required only every 30,000 km (18,000 miles).

The Multistrada 1260 Enduro comes in two colours: Ducati Red & Sand and is priced at INR 19,99,000 and INR 20,23,000 (Ex-Showroom). Bookings are currently open across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi – NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad.

When your passion doesn’t allow you to stay for less, creations like this typical Benelli TNT 300 with Ducati outfit is a sure shot result. The modification has been done in Vietnam and the body parts have been swapped for the actual Ducati Panigale 899 parts, keeping the underpinnings truly Benelli with the same frame and suspension components. Even the LED headlamps have been used from the original model, making this motorcycle look actually the same as the original 899 Panigale. Even a few bike enthusiasts would not be able to differentiate both on the terms of visual comparison.

The performance has not been altered for the Benelli engine, and it is still good for 38.26 BHP of maximum power. In comparison, the 899 Panigale generates 146 BHP of max power. The smaller brakes of the modified sportbike even hint that something’s wrong with this 899 Panigale but it’s undoubtedly the closest possible replica of the original sportbike. The aftermarket SC-Project exhaust system must be able to make it sound better but won’t help it achieve the huge gap between the power values of the original Ducati Panigale 899 and the Benelli TNT 300.

Benelli TNT 300 is a naked street fighter, providing more options of customization in terms of fairing attachments than other machines which are sold with factory fairings. The owner’s dream of owning a Ducati Panigale superbike could have never been better lived than this one. Benelli recently dropped the ex-showroom price tag of TNT 300 to INR 2.99 lakh in India. The motorcycle comes with 2-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as standard.

Ducati Streetfighter V4, the naked Panigale from the Italian manufacturer that was earlier seen through a teaser video and parked near a race track, has been officially revealed before Pikes Peak Hill Climb Event. Ducati’s rider Carlin Dunne will use the motorcycle to compete against other competitors on June 30, 2019. The event will not just help Ducati showcase their impressive engine technology for different riding conditions but also, let them test the Streetfighter V4 before putting the same into production for the public. The 1103cc, four-cylinder engine is a revolution after years of twin-cylinder legacy from the Italian brand.

The output of 214 HP at 13,000 rpm and 124 Nm at 10,000 rpm means a lot for the new Streetfighter V4 as the dry weight for the Panigale V4 with all the fairing and road-going components is just 175 kg, expecting this one to lose a considerable amount of body weight will be perfectly alright. The motorcycle here features a standard sharp headlight, completely exposed engine area and wind channels to keep the same cool during the tough race. The fairing is now gone in favour of a decent tank extension while Akrapovic exhaust will further raise the performance of this impressive machine.

The winglets on the motorcycle are race-spec only while the front headlight design comes without an actual illumination source and acts just an aerodynamically-positive part. The golden USD forks are the same units that Panigale V4 supports in all markets. The production version of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 will arrive in 2020 while EICMA 2019 will see the prototype parked with other impressive options from the lineup. The 1103cc engine also has a 998cc derivative and getting the same under Streetfighter R moniker is an equal possibility at some later stage. The camouflaged paint finish of the prototype is actually the race-specific livery from Ducati.
