Since curbing the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has ultimately caused a nationwide lockdown, all the automotive manufacturers have been coming forward in offering relief measures to their customers. Now, Ducati India has announced that they have postponed the extended warranty price hike.

According to the official statement released by the brand, any motorcycle that faces a warranty lapse between March 24, 2020, and May 3, 2020, will now get an extended warranty period till June 1, 2020. Apart from this, the customers who wish to get an extended warranty for their vehicles post-June 1, they will have to buy it at the all-new prices issued by the manufacturer. The brand has announced that the prices for the extended warranty will be hiked for the customers after the June 1, 2020 deadline.

Commenting on the extension on warranty and the hike in the warranty package prices, Bipul Chandra, managing director, Ducati India said: “Due to the current lockdown, we understand that the entire country is going through a tough time, including Ducatisti. We at Ducati, are fully committed to providing the best services to our customers and will stand together with them during this global pandemic. With the relaxation in the extended warranty price hike, we hope to add support to our Ducati family.”

The brand currently offers an extended warranty program for its customers who buy an all-new Ducati motorcycle. In addition to this, the customers can also purchase the extended warranty package in between the standard warranty period.

Apart from Ducati, there are certain other automotive manufacturers like Triumph, Honda, Yamaha, Bajaj, TVS and more that have announced relief measures for their customers in this difficult time. The customers have been offered an extended warranty while the free service expiration for the motorcycles has also been extended.

Whenever the situation is expected to go back to normal, Ducati is expected to announce its new plans for the Indian markets which will also include the launch of the all-new Ducati Streetfighter V4.

LEGO Ducati Panigale V4 R Officially Launched (Official Press Release): Ducati and the LEGO Group present the latest model in the LEGO® Technic™ line: the Ducati Panigale V4 R, the result of a licensing agreement recently signed between the LEGO Group and Ducati Motor Holding. Unique of its kind, the first-ever brick reproduction of a Ducati motorcycle expresses and respects the values of ‘Style, Sophistication and Performance’ that characterizes the brand.

The new set combines LEGO Technic DNA with that of Ducati, recreating in brick a spectacular reproduction of the Panigale V4 R, which identifies the maximum expression of Ducati racing bikes homologated for road use, technological excellence, and Italian design worldwide. The most powerful and high-performance Ducati of all time, with 221 horsepower (162 kW) delivered at 15,250 rpm (234 hp / 172 kW at 15,500 rpm with the Ducati Performance by Akrapovič full-racing exhaust) thanks to the 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R, an engine born to compete on the track in the WSBK championship. Never before has ‘LEGO Build for Real’ transported fans from game to reality.

The thrill of the engine roar, the adrenaline of acceleration and the riding position in tackling curves, combined with a breath-taking design; anyone who has ever imagined riding this motorcycle symbol of Italian engineering will love building the LEGO® Technic™ Ducati Panigale V4 R set. It will be fantastic to discover how the innovative 2-speed gearbox, exclusive to this new LEGO reproduction, activates the V4 engine, as well as trying the innovative and original front and rear suspension, to simulate a GP ride and feel like an official Ducati rider.

The LEGO® Technic™ Ducati Panigale V4 R measures 32 cm in length, 16 cm in height and 8 cm in width and is the first motorcycle model in LEGO® Technic™ history to include a gearbox to simulate different speeds and riding techniques. Other striking features are the steering and suspension that give realistic movement, in addition to front and rear disc brakes. Kickstand, exhaust pipe, windscreen and dashboard are the details that make this bike so faithful to the real version. Last but not least, the red colour that accelerates the heartbeat of every Ducati fan.

“We have all been children fond of LEGO bricks and I think it is easy to understand that this new licensing agreement between Ducati and the LEGO Group is like a dream come true. Two excellences that share the same values of dedication, passion and attention to detail come together to give life to a unique experience”, said Alessandro Cicognani, Ducati Licensing Director. “Our hope is that the Ducati Panigale V4 R LEGO® Technic™ can bring together, excite and entertain children and parents, but also all the fans who ride their motorbikes every day.”

“The Ducati Panigale V4 R is such an elegant icon and a masterpiece of technology”, states Aurélien Rouffiange, Senior Designer of LEGO Technic. “It was essential for me to include as many details and features as I could, to capture all the curves and the unique design of the Red icon, to create for the first time a functioning gearbox and steering as well as a V4 cylinder engine that spins. To me, riding is all about the sensation you feel in connection with the road on your motorcycle. I hope that building the LEGO TECHNIC Panigale V4 R model brings you the same excitement. Not only a play experience but also a way to learn about mechanics, power and technology. The beginning of a long journey with a lot of fun and passion.”

“Being one of the first to have built with bricks the model of an icon such as the Ducati Panigale V4 R was exciting”, stated Paolo Lazzarin, General Manager of LEGO Italia. “The set perfectly captures the spirit and design of the original thereby transforming the concept of performance: pure adrenalin racing and full control. This model is the brainchild of the partnership with Ducati Design Center and I am convinced that LEGO fans of all ages will appreciate the attention-to-detail in this amazing motorcycle replica created by LEGO Technic.”

Creating the LEGO® Technic™ Ducati Panigale V4 R set is exciting and offers an addictive and rewarding construction experience. Reproducing the realistic features such as the engine introduces builders, regardless of their age, to the world of engineering, and just one look at the details of the LEGO mechanisms and gears lets you see how similar this brick model is to the real bike.

The LEGO® Technic™ Ducati Panigale V4 R model, created with 646 pieces, is designed for fans aged 10+ and will be available in Ducati dealerships, in the Ducati Online Shop, in LEGO Stores, in the LEGO Online Store and in LEGO Brand Retail Stores from 1st June priced at 59.99 Euro.

Since the automobile manufacturers are not allowed to sell their BS4 products past the March 31, 2020 deadline, several manufacturers are witnessing a hard time getting a strong customer base due to the recent ongoing coronavirus scare in the country.

The authorised parties have officially filed a petition to the Supreme court to extend the March 31, 2020 deadline of selling the BS4 products as the manufacturers have to deal with the loss in expected sales due to the pandemic lockdown. There has been no official information received on the petition as of yet.

When your passion doesn’t allow you to settle for less, creations like this typical Benelli TNT 300 with a Ducati outfit is a sure-shot result. The modification has been done in Vietnam and the body parts of the TNT 300 streetfighter have been swapped with the actual Ducati 899 Panigale parts, keeping the underpinnings truly Benelli with the same frame and suspension components.

Even the LED headlamps have been sourced from the original model, making this motorcycle look actually the same as the original Ducati 899 Panigale superbike. This replica looks so close to the actual model that a lot of bike enthusiasts would not be able to figure out that it’s not an original Ducati.

The performance has not been altered for the Benelli engine and it is still good for 38.26BHP of maximum power. In comparison, the 899 Panigale generates 146BHP of max power. The smaller disc brakes of this modified TNT 300 do give a hint that it’s not an actual model of the Ducati 899 Panigale but it’s undoubtedly the closest-possible replica of the original sportbike.

The aftermarket SC-Project exhaust system must be able to make it sound better but won’t help it achieve the huge gap between the power values of the original Ducati 899 Panigale superbike and the Benelli TNT 300 streetfighter.

Benelli TNT 300 is a naked streetfighter, providing a lot of options for customisation in terms of fairing attachments than other machines which are sold with factory fairings. The owner’s dream of owning a Ducati Panigale superbike could have never been better lived than this one.

Last year, Benelli dropped the ex-showroom price tag of the TNT 300 to INR 2.99 lakh in India. The motorcycle comes with 2-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as standard. It is being expected that the brand will replace the TNT 300 with the 302S in the coming months.

Borgo Panigale, Bologna, 14 January 2020 (Official Press Release) – Ducati Motor Holding closes 2019 with 53,183 bikes delivered to customers worldwide, nudging last year’s figure of 53,004 bikes even higher.

A major contribution to this result came from the Panigale: with sales totalling 8,304, it retains the market leadership established in 2018 and confirms its status as the world’s best-selling superbike with a market share of 25%.

Two new bikes introduced in 2019 – the Hypermotard 950 and Diavel 1260 – racked up sales of 4,472 and 3,129 respectively, doubling the overall volumes achieved in 2018 by previous versions. The Multistrada family performed equally well, scoring a 3% increase compared to 2018 (thanks also to the addition of the 950 S and a revamped 1260 Enduro); deliveries totalled 12,160, the best sales performance since the Bologna-built multi-bike made its debut sixteen years ago.

Sales figures for 2019 have reinforced Ducati’s position at the premium end of the motorcycle market.

“2019 was a tough but also rewarding year. We’re working to make Ducati the world’s most desired motorcycle brand”, stated Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding, “and the results we’re achieving, the development of the range and the market response all confirm we’re on the right track. On today’s global market, one in every four superbikes is now a Panigale. The technical content we’ve transferred from the R version and our extensive racing experience to the V4 2020 range ensure this bike remains the category benchmark. What’s more, order books for the new Streetfighter V4 are bulging – more than 1,700 are already on order – and deliveries will begin in March 2020”.

“We’re satisfied with the results achieved in 2019”, adds Francesco Milicia, Global Sales VP. “Over the last twelve months, a major network development plan has been implemented, with 54 new dealerships in 20 countries. This expansion plan will continue this year in order to further improve the world-wide network coverage and offer our fans a growing premium experience.”

Sales in Italy continue to grow, confirming the country as Ducati’s number one market. Bike sales totalled 9,474, a 3% improvement in 2018 and a 20% increase over the last three years.

In the United States, Ducati deliveries totalled 7,682 motorcycles, down by just 2% despite the continuing negative trend which saw the market shrink by 7% compared to 2018.

Brazil (+20%), Spain (+10%) and France (+8%), however, performed exceedingly well.

China, a country where the Italian brand is particularly appreciated, continued the upward trend of recent years and is, with 3,200 motorcycles sold (+12%), now the Bologna-based bike manufacturer’s fifth most important market.

This positive end to 2019 allows Ducati to look to the future with confidence. For 2020, the product range is now even more complete and dealerships will soon be taking delivery of the long-awaited Streetfighter V4. The Panigale can – in addition to the introduction of the new V2 – also count on a major upgrade to the V4 that will boost performance and enhance rideability.

For globetrotters and those who want to enjoy long-distance adventures in outstanding comfort, the Multistrada family sees the arrival of the new Grand Tour.

Last but not least, the Ducati Scrambler range – which saw the new 800 Dark presented at EICMA – will see the introduction of a new model in the coming months.

Abu Dhabi Police has once again proven to be one of the best police fleets in the world with the addition of not one but eight Ducati Panigale V4 R motorcycles to its fleet. One of the most powerful motorcycles across the world, the V4 R has been added to the mind-boggling fleet of Abu Dhabi Police, which already includes premium supercars like Lykan HyperSport, Audi R8, and the Lamborghini Huracan.

The motorcycles have been adorned with white and blue shade while features Abu Dhabi Police branding near the winglets. Powering the Ducati Panigale V4 R is a powerful 998cc 4-cylinder engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 221HP though the use of Akrapovic exhaust can further offer an increased power of 234HP.

Since the motorcycle has a dry weight of just 172kg, Ducati has equipped the motorcycle with an aero kit to keep it steady on the tarmac. The fairing of the motorcycle has been equipped with air extractors that help in getting the engine heat out whenever the bike is running at a higher speed.

Coming to the electronic package, the Ducati Panigale V4 R has been equipped with slide control, cornering ABS, wheelie control, traction control, adjustable braking control as well as a quick shifter. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by race-grade Öhlins suspension with mechanical adjustment at the front while the rear has been equipped with an aluminium swingarm.

The motorcycle features twin 330mm semi-floating discs at the front with radially mounted Brembo Monobloc Stylema 4-piston callipers and a 245mm disc brake with 2-piston calliper at the rear mated to dual-channel ABS as standard.

The Ducati Panigale V4 R was launched in India back in November 2018 at a price tag of INR 51,87,000 (ex-showroom India). The road-legal WSBK category racing bike was only limited to a total of 5 units in India.

Milano, 11th November 2019 (Official Press Release) – The Ducati Streetfighter V4 has been selected as “Most Beautiful Bike of the Show” at EICMA 2019, the world’s most important trade fair of the sector. The verdict was decreed by the general public, which participated in large numbers, crowding the pavilions of the Milan-Rho International Fair in its five days of opening, and who voted at the Show or online.

The “Vote and win the most beautiful bike of the Show” competition, organized by the Italian magazine Motociclismo in collaboration with EICMA, reached its fifteenth edition this year, and for Ducati, this is the tenth victory. Over 14,500 enthusiasts expressed their preference and the Streetfighter V4 was the most voted motorcycle by both visitors to the Fair and users of the Motociclismo site. The new super-naked Ducati took first place with 36.7% of voters and a considerable advantage over the second-placed bike.

The ballot of the votes received took place on Sunday 10th November, the final day of the show, and was followed by the official ceremony outside on the stage of MotoLive in the presence of Giacomo Casartelli, Executive Director of EICMA and the Editor-in-Chief of Motociclismo Federico Aliverti, who presented the prestigious award.

The award for the Borgo Panigale Company was picked up by Andrea Ferraresi, Ducati Design Center Director: “We are particularly proud to receive this award in a competition where all the manufacturers participate with their flagship models and the general public of EICMA, the most important motorcycle fair in the world, has elected the Streetfighter V4 as the most beautiful”.

The ceremony for the “Most Beautiful Bike of the Show” was the last act of an intense week of exhibition and events that saw over half a million visitors at EICMA, an increase compared to 2018, confirming the positive signs of recovery coming from the motorcycle sector.

Right from the first day of opening the public crowded the Ducati stand. First among the three totally new bikes to be presented is the Streetfighter V4, the super-naked with high and wide handlebars, 178 kg in weight, Desmosedici Stradale 1,103 cc engine with 208 hp, biplane wings and the latest generation electronic package.

The result of this “The Fight Formula” is an exaggerated, modern and technological Ducati naked with an aggressive and exciting design. A bike that does nothing to hide top-of-the-segment performance, but which guarantees enjoyment and fun even in daily use.

In addition to the “queen” of the Show, the completely renewed Panigale V2 and the 2020 version of the Panigale V4, the most sold sports bike in the world in the last two years.

Five new versions have also been introduced for 2020: the Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour, the Diavel 1260 in the new “Dark Stealth” colouring and the Diavel 1260 S in “Ducati Red”, the Monster 1200 “Black on Black” and finally the Scrambler Icon Dark.

Interest and great acclaim also surrounded the two Scrambler DesertX and Scrambler Motard concepts, which polarized the attention of the public, as well as for the three new Ebikes presented by the Borgo Panigale company in collaboration with Thok: the exclusive MIG-RR Limited Edition, the MIG-S and the E-Scrambler.
