Royal Enfield saw a steep decline in domestic sales and registered 27% downfall in July 2019. It is one of the most preferred brands by motorcycle enthusiasts who feel absolute pride in owning and riding a retro bike. The company prevailed in the market without facing any competition for such a long time but it could not save itself from the bumpy phase that the auto market is going through.

The parent company of this massive brand, Eicher Motors notified that a decline of 21.6% has been recorded for the Q1 of current Fiscal. The Chennai-based manufacturer managed to sell only 49,182 Royal Enfield motorcycles last month, which is way less than the sales number posted by the brand in the same month of the previous year. Last year, the brand managed to sell 67,001 units in July.

In contrast, Royal Enfield has registered positive growth in the international markets, where the brand managed to export a total of 5,003 units in July 2019 in comparison to 2,062 during the same month in 2018. The brand has recorded a bumper growth of 143% in terms of exports.

The brand has managed to register a yearly growth of 84% as it exported a total of 14,162 units in 2019-20 in comparison to 7,698 units in 2018-19. The reason for this growth is believed to be the success of the Royal Enfield 650 Twins. The series is powered by an air/oil-cooled 648cc twin-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 47HP and a peak torque of 52Nm.

Summarising the total sales figures, Royal Enfield sold 54,185 motorcycles in July 2019, which is less than 69,063 units sold in the same month last year, recording a decline of 22%.

EIMOR Customs is undoubtedly one of the best modifiers in India. They can very effectively turn a regular Royal Enfield motorcycle into something that is praiseworthy from every angle. Cupris carries the same story and it is based on the Royal Enfield Classic 350. The most effective thing on the Cupris is its fuel tank, sculpted into a masterpiece with its copper shade and 3-dimensional paint finish with Royal Enfield moniker in the middle.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 Cupris gets an all-black engine compartment, finely finished for the complete dark theme around its frame. The only shining components are the multiple spokes of the alloy wheels, while the base of the alloys has been finished in black but highlighted with a lighter shade. The rear suspension has also been kept chrome finished on the C350 Cupris. The front forks, leg guard, side covers and even the custom exhaust system of the motorcycle gets all-black treatment.

EIMOR Customs has not made any major alteration to the frame of the motorcycle as just the rear fender has been chopped in the middle and no changes have been made to the rest of the frame. They have placed a fully padded and perfectly ribbed single seat on the Classic 350 Cupris. The rear lights have been replaced with custom units while the headlight gets a protector a rugged look. EIMOR Customs has also equipped the motorcycle with a custom handlebar.

The stock model of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes equipped with chrome-finished rearview mirrors but EIMOR Customs has been replaced the same with rectangular bar-end units on the Cupris. The motorcycle carries the same 346cc, single-cylinder engine producing 19.8 BHP at 5250 rpm and 28 Nm at 4000 rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and claims a wet weight of 192kg in the stock form.

New 350cc Royal Enfield Motorcycle in the Works: The consistent drop in sales over the past few months has made all the automotive brands anxious to get their position back at the top. One such brand that has been subjected to a great loss in terms of sales is the Royal Enfield. According to the reports, the brand has scaled a whole 19% decline in sales for its FY 2018-2019 period as compared to the same time last year.

Concerned over the gradual decline in sales, the Royal Enfield officials are planning on introducing new motorcycle variants in the coming months, most probably in the 350cc segment. The new 350cc Royal Enfield is bound to be more affordable therefore being available to a wider range of audience and contributing towards more sales.

According to the sources, the new 350cc Royal Enfield would be the most affordable offering from the brand as of yet. The upcoming motorcycle will not be based on the next-gen platform and it is likely to get the existing Bullet platform. Presently, the kick start variant of the Royal Enfield Bullet is available at a price tag of INR 1.21 lakhs while the customer has to pay INR 1.35 lakhs for the electric start variant.

The new 350cc Royal Enfield motorcycle will be based on the Bullet 350 and it will be available with both kick start as well as electric start option. The cosmetic changes will include a simpler fuel tank badge while the all-black look of the upcoming motorcycle will be replacing the chrome detailing seen on the existing model of the Bullet 350.

The motorcycle will be offered the same spoke wheels with tube-type tyres to keep the costs under check. The brand might introduce new brighter colour schemes for their new affordable lineup which will be further made available to their 500cc counterparts as well.

To make a new impact in the market, the brand is likely to unveil its new 350cc Royal Enfield near the festive season around Diwali this year while one can expect the ex-showroom price tag to be around INR 1.10 lakh. Once launched, the initial price tag will make the new motorcycle to compete with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.

A new video of the 2020 BS6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird, one of the most anticipated motorcycles from the brand, has surfaced online. Though the bike has been spotted testing multiple times over the last few days, the new video shows the Thunderbird with minimal camouflage, giving us a clear view of its front, side, and rear body panels.

Showing a strong resemblance to a recently spotted test mule, the new video clearly shows the motorcycle with all-new rear styling, redesigned fuel tank as well as the side panels. The brand has opted for a shorter rear fender when compared to the current-gen Thunderbird X.

In addition to these, the indicator/brake lamp has also been offered a new position. The fuel tank seen on the 2020 Royal Enfield now features the fuel cap in the middle when compared to the offset position offered on the current model. Apart from this, the fuel tank looks similar to the 20-litre unit, inspired by the current model.

2020 BS6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird Video

The new video confirms a proper cruiser riding position for the upcoming Royal Enfield Thunderbird X, considering the fact that the footpegs have been positioned two to three inches ahead. Rest of the styling seems to match the previously spied test mule of the motorcycle.

The upcoming Thunderbird would be exhibiting a dual cradle frame while getting a more compact exhaust. The motorcycle will be powered by an updated BS6-compliant engine while it also has been equipped with a catalytic converter positioned in front of the rear wheel. The similar setup has been seen on the next-gen Royal Enfield Classic that is currently under testing phase.

The rear section of the upcoming 2020 BS6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird has been reworked though, the tail-light assembly remains identical to the current-gen model. The engine casing and the end can on the exhaust have also been given a different colour treatment.

There is no confirmation yet if the brand is testing multiple engine options for the same motorcycle or there are two separate models being tested such as the standard Thunderbird and its stylish sibling Thunderbird X. The updated Royal Enfield Thunderbird series is expected to launch in India by the end of this year or in early 2020.

Meet Royal Enfield Classic 350 Beloni: EIMOR Customs have once again proven themselves as the master of customization art with a fascinating model, Beloni. They are known to transform the ideas into reality and the recent customization offered to the Royal Enfield Classic 350 speaks for itself.

The cruiser was brought to them in a pretty bad condition though the restoration makes it look like an ultimate stunner. Special attention has been given to the fuel tank which has been hand-painted with extraordinary black and white graphics. They have offered it a signature EIMOR customs paint job. It includes a stone effect with several tribal patterns swirling around.

There is a hand emerging from the sun and throwing flying fishes into the sky and on the other hand, an eternal eye is observing everything from above. The left side of the fuel tank features an “EIMOR Customs” logo written in Hindi while the right side features the name of the motorcycle owner, also written in the Hindi language. Both the sides of the fuel tank features the “Chakras” known for bringing out the positivity.

Coming to the front fascia, the round headlamp housing has been given a matte black treatment while the entire profile of the Classic 350 including the spoke wheels have been made glossy black. The split seat setup gives the motorcycle an authentic retro look.

Besides the paint job inspired by the artist’s imagination, the motorcycle remains mechanically unaltered. Powering the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is 346cc, single-cylinder engine producing 19.8 BHP at 5250 rpm and 28 Nm at 4000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The test mule of the next-gen Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been spotted again on the move, giving a clear view of the motorcycle’s front, side, and rear design. The brand has finally offered a host of cosmetic and mechanical changes to the most-appreciated Royal Enfield motorcycle. The 2020 model of the Classic 350 has been spotted testing with a pillion rider for the first time.

Getting only certain colour additions from the past few years, the next-gen Royal Enfield Classic 350 now features welcoming changes. Both the front and rear disc brakes equipped on the motorcycle are now positioned on the right-hand side instead of the left which further shifts the chain from the left to the right side.

According to the reports, the shift has been a result of the revised engine ergonomics as well as the updated powertrain. The brand has left the option of a kick-starter for the next-gen Royal Enfield Classic 350 while from the outside, the engine looks almost identical to the currently available model.

The leaked images show the Royal Enfield Classic 350 with a revised transmission casing while the brand is likely to introduce fuel injection to make the engine compliant with the BS6 emission norms which will be in effect from April 1, 2020. The new exhaust system on the test mule most probably means that the brand has already updated the engine according to the upcoming emission norms.

Next-Gen Royal Enfield Classic 350
Next-Gen Royal Enfield Classic 350 Front 3-Quarter View

The next-gen Royal Enfield Classic 350 gets an updated Thunderbird inspired dual cradle frame that will be replacing the already existing single-down tube frame. The rear and front fenders of the motorcycle continues to have a retro-inspired design though the brand has ditched the larger tail housing with a sleeker unit. Like the current-gen model, the 2020 model will also come equipped with a dual-channel ABS unit for additional safety along with front and rear disc brakes.

The rear seat has been redesigned while the motorcycle has been equipped with an LED taillight with chrome surrounds. To improve the ergonomics, the brand has also raised the grab rails. Royal Enfield is expected to use rubber mounts on the updated 350 for reducing the vibrations. The motorcycle is expected to be launched in the market by the end of the year or in early 2020.

Drona was born when a donor Royal Enfield motorcycle sacrificed its stock parts and it took a lot more than a few hundred man-hours to build a machine that is as impressive in looks as it is on the performance front. Being a Royal Enfield, few things like its exciting thump and massive stance would stay the same throughout its lifetime.

Bulleteer Customs first removed each and every part from the engine-frame combo and started assembling things in a phased manner. Starting from the rubber elements, they swapped the spoke wheels with an impressive alloy wheel setup and used dual-purpose tyres that are thicker than the stock units.

Royal Enfield Drona
Royal Enfield Drona by Bulleteer Customs

Huge fenders gave way to these small ones, relieving the body from a few extra kilograms of metal for this amazing built. Stock exhaust even weighs too much and thus, Drona comes with a colour-coordinated all-black exhaust with one extra faux outlet. The end tips are finished in chrome on both the pipes.

The single saddle on the Royal Enfield Drona looks very impressive and comfortable as well. The engine section is painted black while the gold finish can be spotted on the fuel tank and both the fenders. If we talk about the fuel tank, it seems highly inspired by the Harley-Davidson Iron 883’s peanut tank and looks perfect on this modified Royal Enfield motorcycle.

Bulleteer Customs went one step ahead by replacing the huge front fascia with a small round headlight that carries twin projectors. The stock suspension covers even made way for the black finished conventional forks with rubber covers on them. The least informative stock instrument console has been replaced with an aftermarket single pod unit. It is not clear whether the Drona is based on a Royal Enfield Classic 350 or a Classic 500.

BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Spotted (New Photos): The next-gen Royal Enfield Classic has been spotted once again revealing the looks of the much-awaited 350cc motorcycle. Several changes can be easily spotted just by looking at these latest spy shots of the bike.

If we take a look at the last couple of years, the RE Classic 350 has not received any significant update apart from the addition of new colour schemes. One of the biggest mechanical changes to the Classic range only came recently in the form of a rear disc brake and dual-channel ABS.

The recent spy photos reveal that the 2020 Classic 350 is equipped with front and rear disc brakes on the right-hand side, instead of on the left like the current-gen model. This change has resulted in the chain shifting over to the left from the right side. Most of the engine components look identical to the current-gen RE Classic 350, though it seems like the next-gen model will not have the option of a kick-starter.

Mechanically, the 2020 model of the Classic 350 motorcycle will come with the same 346cc engine displacement but, Royal Enfield will make the engine BS6-compliant to meet the new emission norms that will be implemented in India from April 1, 2020. The transmission casing for the motorcycle also looks new.

Well, for now, it is confirmed that the bike will be complying with the BSVI emission norms so the engine will most probably be equipped with an electronic fuel injection system. The 2020 model also gets a new exhaust system that confirms that the upcoming Classic 350 features a reworked engine and gearbox.

In the recent spy images, one can also spot a new dual-cradle frame instead of the single-down tube chassis as seen on the current-gen model. Due to this frame, the engine is mounted differently and the brand must have used new rubber mounts to reduce the vibrations. The test model of the bike is also equipped with chrome rearview mirrors and silver bar ends.

The BSVI model of the Classic 350 will surely be priced higher than the current-gen model, which is priced at INR 1.53 lakh (ex-showroom). The next-gen 350cc Classic will also be equipped with a new semi-digital instrument console, which will feature a digital fuel gauge, an analogue speedometer, a digital trip meter and odometer. The updated model is expected to mark its debut in India by the end of this year or in early 2020.
