EIMOR Customs never ceases to amaze the audience with their extraordinary customization to the stock motorcycles. From offering the motorcycle a unique look while keeping its authenticity intact, they are one of the best modifiers in India. One such great customization we came across by EIMOR is their recent work done on a Royal Enfield Classic 500. Christening their new creation as Beryl, the customizers have brought the client’s dream into reality.

According to the team, the RE Classic 500 customer reached with a clear vision. He wanted a minimal modification to his motorcycle while at the same time, wanted to keep its elegance intact. The client wanted his motorcycle to be customized based on “JUGAAD”, one of the recently modified motorcycles by Bombay Custom Works.

The team at EIMOR took the design inspiration from the Jugaad’s work while named their interpretation as “Beryl”. According to them, Beryl is the mineral that offers the Emerald its authentic colour and beauty. The customizers have offered 18-inch sturdy tyres to the motorcycle at either end. The front and the rear fender of the RE Classic 500 has been redesigned with a beak at either rend.

The handlebar edges of the motorcycle have been offered a golden colour scheme while equipped with custom detailing  – “Handcrafted for Madhusudan”. According to the customizers, major bits and pieces of the motorcycle have been kept in the stock condition while a new tail light and turn signals have been installed at the rear.

The fuel tank of the RE Classic 500 has been equipped with brass badges while the side panel of the motorcycle features handcrafted leather detailing by Oblum Leather Works. The customizers have also offered laser detailing on the fuel tank cap as well as on the bar-end weights of the motorcycle. The overall green Xirallic ultra glossy colour with contrast leather detailing on the saddle and side panels is bound to offer the Beryl major attention on the road.

Mechanically, the stock condition of the motorcycle remains the same. Powering the Beryl is the same 499cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke twin-spark engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 27.2 Bhp at 5250 rpm and a peak torque of 41.3 Nm at 4000 rpm. The engine is mated to five-speed constant mesh gearbox.

Royal Enfield is Working on Electric Motorcycles: The revolutionary switch to electric mobility is unstoppable, irrespective of how much the bike enthusiasts dislike it. Every manufacturer is today devoted to offering electrification to its customer base and in the race, Royal Enfield does not want to be left out.

In an interview with ET Auto, the Royal Enfield’s CEO Mr Vinod Dasari has confirmed that the brand has already started working upon its electric motorcycles. He also added that even though there is a downturn in the market, the brand has not reduced the capital infusion for the year. Instead, Royal Enfield is trying to utilise the amount in the development of its new products and it also includes the development process of its electric motorcycles.

He said in his official statement, “I think we have hit the bottom. Given the range of products that will come, it (a double-digit growth rate) is possible. The general economic sentiment has also got to improve. High-end vehicles get hit much worse during downturns. But the minute the sentiment improves, the fastest-growing segment will also be this.”

“Just because there was a downturn, we did not cut down on our capex. I don’t think we’ll spend any more on any large (facility). Most of our capex will go into capability building, new products, electric and other stuff. And it will also go into many small assembly plants around the world”, added Dasari.

Through his statement, it can be concluded that Royal Enfield will be developing new products and electric motorcycles, which will be done by setting up small-scale assembly plants across India. It is being speculated that the company may showcase a fully-electric prototype at the EICMA that will be held in November this year.

EIMOR Customs, the house of custom motorcycles in Hyderabad is one of the most sought after customization shops in the country when it comes to offering splendid designs that are worthy of a second look. The customizers at EIMOR have recently modified a Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 for a client who has christened his modified motorcycle as Kapidhwaja, inspired by the name of Arjuna’s chariot in Mahabharata.

The client contacted the custom motorcycle shop with a clear vision in mind and the modifiers have delivered the same. The modified motorcycle has been equipped with a broader Triple Tree that offers it an overall wider look as compared to the stock Thunderbird model.

Coming to the front fascia, the Kapidhwaja has been equipped with a redesigned LED headlight which replaces the stock unit. Both the rear and front of the motorcycle have been equipped with 18-inch wheels with 80-spoke rims. In addition to this, the tail light of the motorcycle has also been redesigned and now features an LED unit housed inside a unique brass casing.

In addition to the tail light, the brass detailing is carried on to the handlebar-end weights as well as the front shock caps. The handlebar of the modified motorcycle further features smaller and round turn signals neatly integrated on either side. The twin-pod instrument unit seen on the stock Thunderbird variant has been replaced with a single-pod fully digital instrument panel.

The front mudguard has also been redesigned and is now smaller as compared to the one offered on the stock motorcycle. The single-seat saddle has been further redesigned with premium leather with ribbed detailing.

Coming to the fuel tank design, the modifiers have offered the motorcycle a smaller peanut-design tank that adds to the motorcycle’s overall unique profile. Adorned with red metal flakes with gold leaf design, the fuel tank further features a brass tank cap with “Thotakura” encrypted on it.

The modifiers have offered unique fabrication to the side covers as well as the capsules. The aesthetically designed Swagman exhaust system further adds to the motorcycle’s bulky outlook. Besides the red colour offered to the fuel tank, the rest of the motorcycle features a matte black colour scheme. The pillion seat backrest has been offered chrome finishing and features “Kapidhwaja” engraved in a beautiful font.

Apart from the cosmetic changes, the motorcycle has been kept mechanically unaltered. Powering the Kapidhwaja is the same 346cc engine that is good for offering maximum power of 19.8BHP @ 5250 rpm and a peak torque of 28Nm @ 4000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Dirt Machine Custom Motorcycles, a modification house in Indore has been known to offer some splendid motorcycle modifications that are bound to grab the attention on the roads and their recently modified Royal Enfield Classic 500 Desert Storm variant is something worth mentioning. The Desert Storm colour variant is one exclusive shade for the already popular Classic series while the customizers have made it even more exclusive by adding performance parts and raising its appeal through certain highlights. The modifiers have christened the customized motorcycle as Royal Enfield Classic Combat.

Coming to the cosmetic changes, this 500cc Classic Combat features 120mm front and 150mm rear tyre shod with fine aluminium spoke wheels. The customizers have further equipped the motorcycle with disc brakes at either side though only the front is available with dual working discs for maximum braking power. Other mechanical updates made to the motorcycle include WP upside-down forks at the front while the rear suspension has been left unaltered as seen on the stock version.

Coming to the cosmetic changes, the motorcycle has been equipped with custom lightweight front and rear fenders. The design of the dual projector headlight on the front remains the same while the rear now features under-seat LED brake light. The modifiers have further offered the Classic Combat with a dual pod instrument console which replaces the Classic’s standard speedometer unit. The toolbox at either side of the customized motorcycles features the “500” sticker in black while the fuel tank has been adorned with “Combat” sticker at either side.

The motorcycle was specifically customized for Nitin Dev, a resident of Indore, who wanted the original accent of the machine to stay alive. It took the customizers almost 45 days to modify the Classic 500 into this beauty. Mechanically, the engine specifications of the motorcycle were not altered since the Classic 500 is already a powerful machine with a 499cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 27.2BHP of maximum power and 41.4Nm of highly effective torque.

The Classic Combat features a custom swingarm that makes space for the rear disc. The brand recently discontinued its 500cc line up of cruisers due to the negligible demand in the Indian market. The Royal Enfield Classic 500 is only available with the dealerships till the stock lasts while the BS6-compliant variant of the same will not be launched.

According to recent reports, the Meteor 350 cruiser bike is expected to be launched soon as Royal Enfield has officially resumed the manufacturing operations at its Oragadam plant which is based near Chennai.

The production-ready variant of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 was spotted in its full glory back in March 2020 though the nationwide lockdown to curb the coronavirus was responsible for its never-ending delay.

The Thunderbird 350’s replacement under the brand’s portfolio was expected to be launched in April 2020 but due to the lockdown, the brand had halted all the operations back at its manufacturing units from March 23, 2020, considering the welfare of its employees.

Since the new government guidelines for the current lockdown that were implemented from May 1, 2020, allows the resumption of manufacturing and industrial operations across various parts of the country, it has allowed the Chennai-based manufacturer to speed up the expected launch of the Meteor 350.

The brand has resumed its operations at only its Oragadam plant near Chennai while other two manufacturing units will also resume the operations soon. Considering the new guidelines, the manufacturing plant now includes minimal staff to carry on the operations according to the social distancing norms and guidelines introduced by the government.

The upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will come equipped with a fuel-injected engine complying to the new BS6 emission norms. The motorcycle will get an all-new dual pod instrument console while the front fascia has been adorned with a round halogen headlight unit mated to LED DRLs. The teardrop fuel tank has been taken from the current-gen Thunderbird 350 variant while the split seat setup adds to its authenticity. RE Meteor 350 is expected to be launched in India at a starting price tag of INR 1.68 lakh.

The Carbon SS Drona cruiser was born when a donor Royal Enfield motorcycle sacrificed its stock parts and it took more than a few hundred man-hours to build a machine that is as impressive in looks as it is on the performance front. Being a Royal Enfield, few things like its exciting thump and massive stance would stay the same throughout its lifetime.

Bulleteer Customs first removed each and every part from the engine-frame combo and started assembling things in a phased manner. Starting from the rubber elements, they swapped the spoke wheels with an impressive alloy wheel setup and used dual-purpose tyres that are thicker than the stock units.

Royal Enfield Drona
Royal Enfield Drona by Bulleteer Customs

The huge fenders of the stock model gave way to these small ones, relieving the body from a few extra kilograms of metal for this amazing built. The stock exhaust even weighs too much and thus, the Carbon SS Drona cruiser features a colour-coordinated all-black exhaust with one extra faux outlet. The end tips are finished in chrome on both the pipes.

The single saddle on the Royal Enfield Drona looks very impressive and comfortable as well. The engine section is painted black while the gold finish can be spotted on the fuel tank and both the fenders. If we talk about the fuel tank, it seems highly inspired by the Harley-Davidson Iron 883’s peanut tank and looks perfect on this modified Royal Enfield motorcycle.

Bulleteer Customs went one step ahead by replacing the huge front fascia with a small round headlight that carries twin projectors. The stock suspension covers even made way for the black finished conventional forks with rubber covers on them. The least informative stock instrument console has been replaced with an aftermarket single pod unit. As of now, it is not clear whether the Drona is based on a Royal Enfield Classic 350 or a Classic 500.

The overall matte finish offered to the motorcycle with gold leaf accents on the body panels offers it an extraordinary look, worthy enough to grab attention on the road.

The customizers have handcrafted the entire body panels for the motorcycle, which now features 17-inch wheels with sturdy tyres. The motorcycle has been further offered a unique look considering the use of a 5.5-inch all-LED headlight. In addition to this, the Royal Enfield Thunderbird-inspired front forks accentuate the muscular profile of the Classic 350 ARES.

The seat of the stock model has also been redesigned and is now more comfortable for longer touring and has also improved the ergonomics of the motorcycle. The customizers have offered the ARES with a custom exhaust system, which is a MotoTorque Beat silencer. The gold leaf design and the pinstripe patterns on the body panels have resulted in an overall bold look.

The fuel tank of the motorcycle has been offered a custom ARES moniker in addition to a unique pattern badging. EIMOR Customs has offered the same gold leaf patterns and matte black look to the helmet of the motorcycle owner, which further enhances the overall look of the bike when out on the road.

Apart from the cosmetic changes and new suspension setup, the motorcycle remains mechanically unaltered. Powering the Classic 350 ARES is the same 346cc, 1-cylinder engine that is capable of generating a maximum power figure of 19.8 BHP and 28 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.

Meet Custom-Made Royal Enfield Classic Electric: Moving ahead with time is the only way to survive the ever-changing scenario of every developing market across the globe. The story is no different for Royal Enfield as with the passing years they have been adding modern features like disc brakes, 2-channel ABS, self-starter, and a better drivetrain into their motorcycles.

Back in 2018, the brand also introduced the 650cc twins in the Indian market. The custom-made Royal Enfield Classic Electric from an authorised showroom in Thailand further makes the fact clear that the brand will achieve new heights in the coming years.

The frame of the motorcycle has received some alterations to make way for the huge electric motor and battery. The all-electric model of the Royal Enfield Classic features a belt-driven system and is equipped with a fully-digital instrument console that comes with modern features like sprint times and battery health indicator.

No exhaust means no sound and that could be the best thing ever for the environmentalists from the Bullet maker. The Royal Enfield Classic model you see here is not yet official as this one is a custom-made motorcycle. Still, the job seems to be very impressive from every angle.

The official word from Royal Enfield clears that they will be entering the electric motorcycle business but at the same time, they made the fact clear that expecting them to be the first won’t be correct. Still, the brand understands the importance of electrification and would work as much as possible to make it happen in the coming years.
