RS-R Japan, the very famous customization house in Japan has recently modified the all-new 2020 Honda City into a rally car. The sedan has been customized with a flashy red and white paint scheme that adds to its overall rally car outlook. The white base shade has been adorned with red graphics as well as the RS-R sport-service branding.

Coming to the front fascia, the 2020 Honda City has been imparted black colour scheme for the front grille, wing mirrors as well as other body panels. The modifiers have equipped the sedan with a spoiler at the front while the basic front profile has been kept likewise the stock condition. The RS-R branding has also been carried onto the front and rear bumper in addition to the doors of the sedan.

The AZC Original Coilover suspension offered to the sedan has resulted in a lowered height by a bit while the rest of the profile has been left unaltered. The modifiers have revised the cabin of the next-gen sedan with premium leather sports seats from Recaro while the alloy wheel setup at the exterior has also been revised to add a touch of character to its rally car profile.

The customizers have replaced the stock exhaust system on the sedan with an aftermarket unit while the power is offered by the 1.0-litre turbo petrol unit that is good for 122 HP and 173 Nm. The Indian markets will receive the 2020 Honda City with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel powertrains, capable of offering 121 HP and 100 HP respectively.

The launch of the 2020 Honda City has been indefinitely halted by the brand due to the nationwide lockdown. Once launched in India, the sedan will compete in the market against the likes of Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Vento and more. One can expect the price tag of the upcoming next-gen Honda City to be around INR 10 lakh – INR 16 lakh (ex-showroom).

Car modification to enhance the overall looks as well as offering better performance is one of the most common things we come across over the internet. One such mind-boggling modification by Executive Modcar Trendz from Mumbai has left us mesmerised. Believe us or not, the supercar you see here is actually a 2007 Honda Accord V6 sedan which has been modified to look like a Lamborghini Aventador.

This Lamborghini Aventador replica is the neatest lookalike that one can spot on the Indian roads. Some of the diehard auto enthusiasts may have grounds for debate on this topic but for a layman, this orange car is a supercar. It is a result of hard work and attention to every possible detail by Executive Modcar Trendz.

To start with, this modified 2007 Honda Accord features Aventador-lookalike headlights, taillights, scissor doors and even the rear exhaust system for keeping the things as close as possible to the real supercar. The overall length and wheelbase of the Accord has not been altered and thus, finding differences may not be a tough task for supercar enthusiasts.

Most of the modifiers believe in changing the exterior design only, but to the contrary, Executive Modcar Trendz has worked equally hard on the inside as well. The customizers have equipped the car with an impressive centre console that has been placed in the same tune as the actual model of the Aventador.

The modifiers have even placed a fighter jet-inspired engine start-stop start button on the centre console. They have also replaced the conventional dial-type units with an all-digital instrument console. The exhaust system on this typical Honda Accord has been tuned to produce a supercar-inspired sound.

Apart from the complete exterior and interior transformation, no mechanical changes have been made to the car. It continues to be powered by the same 2997cc VTEC V6 (inline 6-cylinder) petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 221HP and a peak torque of 196Nm. If you have an Accord and want to infuse a new life into it, this typical modification by Executive Modcar Trendz will cost you INR 25 lakh.

As the brand is expected to offer only the standard variant of the sedan in the Indian markets, the launch of the sporty RS variant seems to be far-stretched.

The 2020 Honda City RS in the international markets has been recently customized by JTC Titanium with a dark black theme which is worthy of all the attention. The sporty sedan variant has been offered a new body kit as well as a host of other premium features. The customizers have offered the sedan with all-new wheels shod on wider tyres. In addition to this, the boot spoiler on the sedan has been adorned with carbon fibre detailing while the overall outlook makes it resemble the much premium BMW 3 series.

The lower stance of the 2020 Honda City RS compliments its all-black colour profile while the remaining of the standard features on the sedan has been kept the same. Coming to the interior of the modified sedan, the customizers have offered the sporty RS variant with tan-brown Recaro Sport bucket seats at the front to add on to the sporty character of the car.

Apart from installing an aftermarket Turbo RS exhaust system, JTC Titanium has not made any major changes to the engine of the car. Powering the RS model of the sedan is a 998cc, VTEC, turbocharged, 3-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 122HP and a peak torque of 173Nm. The 2020 Honda City is one of the most sought-after sedans from the brand that was highly anticipated by the audience. The sedan has been recently facing low sales from the past few months though the new iteration of the Honda City is expected to take the things to an all-new level. Coming to the changes, the next-gen Honda City retains the design language of the last-gen variant though the cabin now features an all-new dashboard design that shrieks of simplicity.

The brand will launch the 2020 Honda City with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine that is BS6-compliant and capable of offering maximum power of 120HP. According to a recent report from Team-BHP, the 2020 Honda City that has been recently revealed by the brand in Thailand will not be made available with a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine in the Indian market.

Powering the Honda City RS is a 998cc VTEC turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 122HP @ 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 173Nm @ 2,000-4,500 rpm. The engine is mated to CVT gearbox while the fuel efficiency stands at 23.8 kmpl.

The engine will remain unique to the Thai markets since the unfavourable traffic conditions in India will make it expensive as well as difficult to maintain. Moreover, the turbo petrol engine available in Thailand is Euro5 compliant.

The Indian market will get the 2020 model of the City sedan with a retuned version of the 1.5-litre i-VTEC naturally-aspirated petrol unit. The engine will be capable of generating a higher power output in addition to offering better fuel efficiency considering the Indian road conditions. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard while the customers will also be able to avail the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) as well.

Featuring a more mature design language, the upcoming sedan is now 100mm more in length and is 53mm wider than the current-gen Honda City variant though the height of the sedan has been reduced by 28mm. The brand has equipped the 2020 Honda City variant with a thick chrome grille at the front borrowed from the Honda Civic.

The sedan further features LED headlights mated to unique LED DRLs. The rear and the front profile of the 2020 Honda City is now simpler as compared to the 4th gen variant while the addition of machine-cut alloy wheels makes it stand apart from the previous version.

Coming to the interior, the 2020 Honda City has been equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system while the AC vents are now positioned vertically. The 3-spoke steering wheel has been further equipped with cruise control and infotainment controls mounted on top.

One can expect the updated sedan to make an entry in the Indian automobile market by mid-2020. Once launched in India, the updated model of Honda City will compete in the market with the likes of Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and the Skoda Rapid.
