The highly awaited Datsun Redi-GO has been launched in India with a starting price of INR 2.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), claiming the top value for money product position in the Indian passenger car market. The car underpins a KWID while the looks have a totally different story on their side. The new Redi-GO measures 3429 mm in length, 1560 mm in width and 1541 mm in height. The car is full 250 mm shorter than the KWID while the length cut is felt only in the boot space and bonnet length of the car. The interior is roomy for 4 passengers, and ample headroom provides a hassle free rear seat passenger experience.
The car comes with features like driver airbag, LED daytime running lights, music player, front power windows, power steering and air conditioner. All these features make the Redi-GO a perfect car for those who have recently mastered their driving skills and are looking for their very first car. Redi-GO uses the same 799 cc, 3-cylinder engine from the KWID, producing 53.2 BHP and 72 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and returns a company claimed mileage of 25.17 kmpl.
