Datsun’s much awaited compact car, Redi-GO has been finally unveiled in India. The car is based on a low-cost CMF-A platform while gets an all-new exterior and interior design. KWID, the successful entry-level car is again based on the same architecture while it keeps a totally different design approach.
The tall looking Redi-GO is heavily based on the concept car, carrying forward the signature hexagonal Datsun grill. The interesting exterior features include a separate DRL’s in the front bumper, vertical headlamps, high ground clearance and sharp body lines. The car has a good sense of appeal to the youngsters and offers bigger tyres than the usual segment cars.
Datsun Redi-GO Makes its World Debut in India
According to the company, the car will offer best in class knee room, rear seat space, and visibility. The three spoke steering feel, front power window switches, and the GO sourced instrument console makes the car feel better than anything offered in its segment. The overall design of the car can attract a lot of positive customers to the Datsun brand name, which is currently struggling to get its space in the Indian market.
The technical specifications will be soon available through the official website while it’s nearest rivals named Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, Hyundai Eon and KWID can have some numbers shred from their monthly sales when the car arrives in the Indian market. Expected to be powered by the same engine as KWID, the overall weight of the car will decide it’s final performance verdict.
