Asia’s largest helmet manufacturer, Steelbird Hi-Tech India Limited, has recently brought a new SA-2 (2-in-1) helmet to the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 4,699. These helmets are available in three sizes: medium (580mm), large (600mm), and XL (620mm). This helmet’s detachable interior is said to allow the rider to customise the interior depending on the season. However, the manufacturer has not cited any safety rating like DOT, ECE, or something similar.
The helmet comes with a detachable waterproof neck pad with a zip that can be used to block out the wind in the winter. In addition, this helmet also includes a summer interior. The inside of the winter padding liner is made of soft and warm fleece fabric. The same fabric is used for the cheek pads as well. This removable padding is washable as well. These helmets are ideal for long rides due to their combination of advanced features and comfort factors.
A polycarbonate (PC) anti-scratch coated visor with an anti-fog shield prevents fog from accumulating on the visor and reduces the risk of accidents during the winter. Steelbird SA-2 (2-in-1) helmets will keep the rider’s head and neck warm during these harsh and cold winter rides.
Speaking of the introduction of a new helmet for the riders, Steelbird’s Managing Director, Rajeev Kapur, stated that the helmet was designed and built after considering the ruthless winters in the country. He added that its functionalities effectively take care of your personal hygiene and help you stay without jeopardising the helmet’s fashion elements.
