An Italian automotive designer, Oberdan Bezzi, recently imagined the 300cc model of Hero XPulse. Typically, the motorcycle is based on the XPulse 200 though, the engine is bigger. Since Hero MotoCorp is planning to launch new 150cc-400cc motorcycles in the Indian market, one can expect the brand to roll out the Hero XPulse 301 adventure motorcycle in the near future.
Coming to the design, the motorcycle rendering seems to be inspired by the Hero XF3R concept that was initially showcased at the Auto Expo 2016. The XPulse 301 features a similar-looking exhaust canister, which is mounted at a higher location as seen on the XF3R. On the other hand, the exhaust pipe and the engine design is based on the Hero XPulse 200.
In terms of suspension, the Hero XPulse 200 features a conventional telescopic suspension at the front and a 10-step adjustable monoshock at the rear while the digitally-rendered XPulse 301 has been equipped with upside-down forks at the front and the rear of the motorcycle gets a monoshock suspension.
The braking duties on the motorcycle are handled by disc brakes at either end. A premium die-cast swingarm can be spotted in the motorcycle rendering while the XPulse 200 is available in the market with a box-type swingarm.
If the brand decides to bring the XPulse 301 into reality, they are likely to equip the motorcycle with a 300cc+ engine inspired by the XF3R. The rendered design shows the motorcycle with a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The XPulse 301 is expected to be powerful enough to compete with the rest of the 300cc bikes available in India.
In comparison, the XPulse 200 is powered by a 199.6cc, oil-cooled, 2-valve, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 17.80 HP and a peak torque of 16.45 Nm. There has been no official confirmation on the XPulse 301 by the brand as of yet.
