New Jawa Cruiser Spotted Testing in India; Likely to Hit the Market Soon

After being launched in the country, the Jawa motorcycles have gained immense popularity among Indian retro freaks. While the existing models in its lineup are going well, the company is working strenuously on new models to extend its portfolio. And one of the bikes will be a cruiser bike, which was recently spotted testing in the vicinity of Pune. The spy shots are courtesy of Suyog Phadtare. Thanks to these spy images, we have some clues about the upcoming Jawa Cruiser’s bike’s styling and features.

The cruiser, like previous Jawa bikes, emphasises retro design elements. Round headlamp and rearview mirrors, a tear-drop shaped fuel tank and turn signals, a large rear fender, and a comfortable wide seat are some of the important features. In terms of dimensions, the Jawa cruiser looks to be around the same size as the Perak.

It is tenable that, with a little tweaking, it will use the same platform as Perak. The pillion seat on the forthcoming Jawa Cruiser is significantly bigger than on any other Jawa motorbike currently on the market. In addition, the rear suspension is twin-shock, rather than the mono-shock seen in Perak.

Looking at the side profile, the bike has twin exhaust pipes in a slight design. The spotted test mule had a dark motif, as seen by blacked-out components such as the crash guard, exhaust, engine, and wheels. However, at the official debut, the bike will most likely be available in a variety of colours.

Furthermore, in terms of mechanical specifications, we can expect the bike to be powered by the same 334cc engine that is currently available in the Perk model. This is a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that is mated with a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox and is capable of churning out 30.64 HP of maximum power and 32.74 Nm of maximum torque.
