Live Photos of the All-New Suzuki S-Cross; Coming To India

Suzuki officially unveiled the heavily-updated model of the S-Cross back on November 26, 2021. According to the details available, the sales of the new Suzuki S-Cross have already commenced in the European countries and the new model is on display at dealerships across Europe.

For the international markets, the new model of S-Cross is being manufactured at Magyar Suzuki Corporation, a Hungary-based subsidiary of the brand.

As far as the India launch is concerned, it is expected that Maruti will launch the new S-Cross in our country later this year or in early 2023. Here are the live exterior and interior photos of the MY2023 Suzuki S-Cross:

Speaking about its design language, the new S-Cross has a wider piano black front grille flanked by three-point LED headlights, further emphasising its urban appearance. The chunkier wheel arches, as well as the aggressive plastic body wrapping in black, lend to the crossover aspect. The bonnet has also been updated and now has a more robust stance. Large air intakes and well-placed fog lamps are there, and the skid plate adds ruggedness to the crossover.

The rear end has been extensively redesigned, with L-shaped tail light clusters and a glossy black plastic strip in the centre. Some interior components, such as the air-conditioning vents and switch knobs, have been carried through. But, for the most part, the cabin has been modernised as well. Then there’s a new freestanding 9.0-inch touchscreen at the centre console that, of course, supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, but everything else looks quite similar. We’ve seen the temperature controls, driving mode selection, and gear lever before on its predecessor.

The New Suzuki S-Cross is powered by a 1.4-litre DITC (Direct Injection Turbo Charged) petrol engine paired with the automaker’s 48-volt SHVS mild-hybrid technology. The engine produces 129 PS at 5,500 rpm and 235 Nm of torque between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm. The onboard electric motor has a power output of 13.59 PS and a torque output of 50 Nm. Suzuki’s ALLGRIP SELECT four-wheel-drive technology is standard on the crossover. It is regulated by a dial located on the instrument panel.
