Apple has recently introduced the much-awaited 2020 iPhone SE globally. Being an entry-level Apple smartphone, it comes featured with a 4.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels. It gets a starting price tag of INR 42,500 for the base 64GB internal storage variant. Well, many must be wondering about the durability of the smartphone which has been recently tested by the famous YouTuber Zack from ‘JerryRigEverything’. He conducted a series of tests on the smartphone unveiling its durability.
The first test performed on the smartphone was a scratch test, under which the screen scratched at level 6 on the Mohs scale while the screen got deeper grooves at level 7. The earpiece grille of the iPhone SE 2 is made up of metal which means that it is quite durable. The smartphone has a home button that is not clickable and can be used as a fingerprint scanner. Upon testing, it didn’t show any scratches. The body of the smartphone is made up of aluminium and the SIM card tray is also made up of metal.
Though Sapphire should start scratching at level 8 or 9 on the Mohs scale, the brand’s sapphire camera lens got damaged at level 6. Under burn test, the iPhone SE 2 lasted 16 seconds under the heat before pixels went black and turned off. When the flame heat was removed, the dead pixels fully recovered. Here is the detailed durability test video of the 2020 Apple iPhone SE by JerryRigEverything.
