Apple iPhone Prices Increased Again: With the recent increase in the GST of mobile phones from 12% to 18% valid from April 1, 2020, Apple has officially increased the prices of its iPhones in the Indian markets. The iPhones with increased price tags include the likes of iPhone 11 series, iPhone 8 series, iPhone 7 series and iPhone XR and XS.
This is the second time that the brand has increased the price of its smartphone series in the Indian markets this year. The earlier increase in the prices of iPhone 8 series and iPhone 11 series were due to the increase in the import duty.
With the recent hike in the GST from 12% to 18%, the entry-level iPhone 7 with 32GB storage is now available to the customers at a price tag of INR 31,500, getting an instant hike of INR 1,600 from its earlier price tag of INR 29,900. On the other hand, the highest-spec iPhone 11 Pro Max is now available in India at a new price tag of INR 1,50,800, getting a hike of INR 7,600 from its previous price tag of INR 1,43,200.
The official price tags of the iPhone 11 series, iPhone 8 series, iPhone 7 series and iPhone XR and XS in the Indian markets are now higher by 5.15% to 5.35%, varying with different variants.
