Apple Smart Battery Case Officially Announced for $129 (INR 9300)

Apple has recently introduced a smart battery case that has been specifically designed for the flagship iPhone 11 series. The design of the case is almost similar to the battery cases that Apple offers for the iPhone XS series. There is a bump to add the extra battery pack and each of which offers varied battery life depending on the device. The iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max battery cases are claimed to provide 50% longer battery life.

Talking about the material of the smart battery case, it is silky while the soft-touch finish of the silicone feels great on hand. The case fits comfortably over the volume buttons, side buttons and curve of the device without adding more bulk to it. It has a soft elastomer hinge design which makes it easy to put the case on and take it off. The case comes featured with a dedicated camera button that launches the camera app whether the iPhone is locked or unlocked.

A quick press of the button takes a photo and a longer press captures QuickTake video. The smart battery case is also compatible with Qi-certified wireless chargers. The user can charge the iPhone and battery simultaneously. The case can be charged more quickly with USB-PD-compatible chargers. Apple has designed the smart battery case in such a way that it is deeply integrated into iOS so that one can see the battery status on the phone’s lock screen while you can also check the battery status of the case in the notification centre of your iPhone.

Apple claims to have tested the smart case under thousands of hours of testing throughout its design and manufacturing process. It is built to protect the iPhone from scratches and drops. It also supports lightning accessories such as the Earpods with Lightning Connector or the Lightning Digital AV Adapter. The latest Apple smart battery case is priced at $129 (INR 9300 approximately) for all three phones, the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max.
