Blackberry at MWC 2019 introduced a new variant for the Blackberry KEY2 smartphone, which was announced in Silver and Black colours in last year. The smartphone will now be available in a deep red Series 7 Aluminum frame and will exhibit black accents at the textured rear. The Blackberry KEY2 Red Edition has a 4-row physical QWERTY backlit keyboard that gets a capacitive touch. It gets a price tag of $749 (INR 53,200 approx.) and will be available for pre-orders in Europe exclusively on BlackBerry Mobile’s online store.
Powering the Blackberry KEY2 Red Edition is an Octa-Core Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) and gets 6GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is equipped with a 3360mAh battery and exhibits a 4.5-inch 3:2 display with 433 PPI and a resolution of 1620 x 1080 pixels.
The Blackberry KEY2 Red Edition gets a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 12MP secondary camera with f/2.6 aperture. It also gets an 8MP front-facing camera and a fingerprint sensor in the space bar.
