Huawei’s Honor brand has recently announced that they will introduce a new Honor 20 series smartphone at an event in London on May 21st. The new phone is expected to be the much-awaited Honor 20 and it is expected to be launched in two versions: Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro. The live photos of the 20 Pro variant recently surfaced online, revealing the punch-hole display for the selfie camera. There are a few rumoured features of the upcoming series which include low-light photography and possible periscope zoom lens which is also available on the Huawei P30 Pro.
The smartphone is expected to sport a 32MP front-facing camera and a quad-camera setup to the rear with Sony IMX600 sensor. There is also a rumour doing rounds on the internet that the cameras will be similar to the P30 Pro, including a 40MP primary camera, an ultra wide-angle camera, and a 5x periscope zoom camera. The Honor 20 Pro model is expected to get an extra ToF (Time-of-Flight) 3D camera for better depth mapping.
The upcoming series is expected to be powered by the Kirin 980 7nm processor. We can expect a difference in the screen size of the two smartphones. Both the phones would offer an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Honor 20 series is expected to come with Android Pie OS and a 3650mAH battery.
Earlier this year in April Huawei launched its P30 Pro smartphone in India. It is a premium camera-centric phone which got a whopping launch price of INR 71,990. People are expecting some of the features of this phone to be introduced in the upcoming Honor 20 series.
Technically, the P30 Pro comes powered by a Huwaei Kirin 980 processor with 720 MHz ARM Mail-G76MP10 GPU. The phone is said to be super fast and its camera quality is stunning. So, it would be worth to watch that what features the Honor 20 and 20 Pro would be getting from the P30 Pro, and what new features the brand is going to offer on the upcoming 20 series. All would be revealed once this phone is launched on May 21st.
