Honor 30 to Get 50MP Sony IMX700 Camera Sensor

As per the latest details available, the upcoming Honor 30 smartphone is scheduled to launch on April 15, 2020. Earlier there was a rumour that the smartphone will come equipped with a 50MP primary camera sensor and as per a recent image leaked by GSM Arena, it is now confirmed that the Honor 30 has a 50MP Sony IMX700-based sensor. The details about the Sony IMX700 sensor are not widely available but it is believed to be the industry’s largest customized Sony sensor.

The leaked image has also revealed that the smartphone will come featured with the quad rear camera setup. The primary camera is confirmed to be a 50MP sensor while one of them will be a periscope lens. The quad rear cameras are housed inside a rectangular bump along with the dual-LED flash. The camera module of the smartphone has a golden accent and as per the details mentioned below the main camera, it is confirmed that Honor 30 will also feature Octa PD.

The smartphone has a secondary microphone at the top which seems to be accompanied by an IR Blaster and probably a 3.5mm audio jack. Though Honor 20 does not have an audio jack, it seems like it will be a part of the upcoming smartphone by the brand.

By looking at the image, one can safely assume that the smartphone has a metal frame because of the antenna lines at the top. There is a button on the right side of the smartphone which could be the volume control button with the power key placed under it. Ahead of the official unveiling of the smartphone, more details about the Honor 30 are likely to surface online in the coming days.
