HTC U Ultra was recently announced as the flagship device under the new U series. The phone carries a 5.7 inch, quad HD display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the 64GB variant and Sapphire Glass on the 128GB variant. The most effective feature is the introduction of an all new, 2.0 inch secondary display on the top of front display, carrying 160×1040 pixels of resolution and 520 pixels per inch.
HTC U Ultra with Snapdragon 821 Officially Unveiled
The phone is powered by 3000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 while uses Quad-Core 2.15 Ghz 64-bit Snapdragon 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU for ultra quick processing. The chipset comes mated to 4GB of RAM and offers above defined two storage variants. The phone even carries an expandable memory capacity of 2TB through microSD. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and wraps HTC Sense UI on its top.
U Ultra carries a 12 MP Ultrapixel 2 camera with dual tone LED flash, laser auto focus and optical image stabilization and the smartphones comes with a 16 MP front cam with f/2.0 aperture. It packs fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE, NFC, GLONASS and USB 3.1 Type-C in terms of most used features. The phone weighs 170 grams but misses on the 3.5 mm audio jack.
The available shades include Sapphire Blue, Ice White, Brilliant Black and Cosmetic Pink. It costs $750 (INR 51,000) on pre-order through HTC’s international website. The prices in Taiwan are NT $23,900 (INR 51280) and NT $28,900 (INR 62,015) for the 64 GB and 128 GB (Sapphire Glass) variant respectively. There has been no report for the launch of HTC U Ultra in India currently.
