A recent leak confirmed that Lenovo Z5s Ferrari SuperFast Edition is the world’s first smartphone with 12GB of massive RAM. The smartphone will launch on December 18, 2018. The war between higher-spec Android devices is getting tougher than ever as no other phone has been discussed with 12GB of RAM in the community till date. The phone will first arrive in China and increase the presence to other important markets gradually. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and features 128GB of internal memory.
Z5s Ferrari SuperFast Edition will run on Android 9.0 with ZUI interface from Lenovo. Most brands offer 6GB+128GB configuration on their regular smartphones. OnePlus recently launched the 6T McLaren Edition with 10GB RAM for INR 50,999. It seems the SuperFast Edition is a direct rival to the flagship OnePlus device. Additional RAM will help users enjoy easy multitasking and thus, more battery is required to maintain normal phone operations with an excess of backend processes.
The war of getting more memory is going to get worse in coming days as more brands will push higher RAM into their phones for gaining the number one spot in terms of hardware available on a smartphone. After getting 12GB through Lenovo Z5s Ferrari SuperFast Edition, it won’t be wrong to guess 16GB of RAM on a device in the first quarter of 2019. Standard phones from Lenovo are available with 4GB of RAM while other manufacturers are seen offering 6GB RAM and 64 GB storage option on devices below INR 20,000.
