Moto Z3 with 5G Moto Mod Announced for $480 (INR 33,000)

Motorola has finally made the announcement for its latest flagship in the Moto Z series, the Moto Z3. The best thing about this phone is that it has support for the Moto Mods, as was expected from the flagship of the Z series.

The Moto Z3 sports a 6-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display that has a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the front, and the same protection is featured on the back of the phone as well. The phone draws its power from a 2.45 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with Adreno 540 GPU. There is a dual camera setup at the rear, both cameras with 12-megapixel lens and support for monochrome and RGB colours. The aperture on both the cameras is f/2.0 and they both shoot with 1.25um pixel size. There is a support for Laser Autofocus and none of the cameras faces shutter lag.

On the front, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.25um pixel size, and screen flash. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side of the phone, and there is no headphone jack. The audio is routed through a USB Type-C audio. The phone is packed with a 3,000 mAh battery that supports Turbocharging.

Motorola has introduced a new 5G moto mod with a built-in 2,000 mAh battery. This will make the Z3 the world’s first smartphone with access to Verizon’s 5G Network. The Network will be launched in a few selected areas of the United States of America in 2019. The next phone to get support for 5G will be the Moto Z2.

The Moto Z3 is available in Ceramic Black and is priced at $480 (INR 33,000 approximately) in retail. It is also available on a contract at $20 a month for 24 months. This contract will be available only through Verizon from August 16. The 5G mod will be available only in the US in early 2019. The price for the mod has not been revealed yet.
