At a launch event today, Motorola has launched the One Power in India. The phone comes powered with the Snapdragon 636 chipset on board, clocked at 1.8GHz, with Adreno 509 GPU. Sporting a 6.2-inch display with Full HD+ resolution of 2246×1080 pixels, the phone follows the ongoing trend of having a product with a notch display. Since the phone is released as a part of the Android One program, it will be among the first in line to receive the major OS upgrades. Currently, the Motorola One Power is running on Android 8.1 Oreo but it will be among the first ones to receive the Android 9.0 Pie upgrade.
At the rear, the Motorola One Power sports a dual camera lens setup, with a 16MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and 1.12μm pixel size, and a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture and 1.0μm pixel size. The phone was displayed to capture 4k videos with ease, not dropping any frames in the process. Part of the Android One program is to provide the phones with AI abilities. Up at the front, the Motorola One Power features a 12MP camera with an LED flash. The camera has f/2.0 aperture and 1.25μm pixel size, and will effectively capture selfie portraits.
The Motorola One Power has quite a large battery; the 5000mAh battery allows the phone to have a battery backup of up to 2 days. It also supports fast charging with TurboPower technology. The phone comes in only one configuration, with a 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone has a dedicated microSD card slot with an expandable memory up to 256GB. It has been launched in a partnership with marketing partner Flipkart, exclusively available on it for registration from today and going on sale from October 5, 2018.
