Nokia 2.3 Officially Announced for 109 Euros (INR 8,600)

HMD Global has recently unveiled its latest budget Android One smartphone at an event in Egypt. Known as Nokia 2.3, it is a successor of the Nokia 2.2. The phone comes featured with a 6.2-inch HD+ screen and is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 12nm processor with 2GB of RAM. The Nokia 2.3 runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) operating system and comes with 2 years of assured Android updates and 3 years of security updates.

For optics, the smartphone gets a dual rear camera setup. It has a 13MP rear camera with AI low-light feature, HDR, and a secondary 2MP depth-sensing camera for portrait mode. There is also a feature of recommended shot that automatically captures alternate images before and after the shutter button is pressed and it suggests the best shot. At the front, it has a 5MP camera that comes with support for face unlock. There is no fingerprint scanner on the smartphone.

The all-new Nokia 2.3 will come in 3 colour options: Cyan Green, Sand, and Charcoal. It is priced at 109 Euros (INR 8,630 approximately). The smartphone also gets a dedicated Google Assistance button.

At the launch event, the officials said – “Advanced structural engineering made it possible to integrate the dual camera and flash into the rear of the phone without a camera bump. Inner high-precision diecast aluminium chassis makes the structure solid and rigid protecting all the components inside”.

The Nokia 2.3 is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery and it will go on sale globally from mid-December. As of now, HMD Global has not revealed anything officially regarding the launch of the Nokia 2.3 in the Indian market.
