OnePlus 7 vs OnePlus 7 Pro (Quick Comparison): At last, the much-awaited flagship smartphones of OnePlus have been launched worldwide. The OnePlus 7 series comes in a pack with performance, speed, and reliability. The brand has launched the latest series with two smartphones on offer, OnePlus 7, and the OnePlus 7 Pro.
If we go by the design of OnePlus 7, it looks pretty much alike OnePlus 6T. The phone features a 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, whereas OnePlus 7 Pro comes with a 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 90 Hz refresh rate, and Quad HD+ resolution.
One of the key differences in the phones is their display. The OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone features a curved edge-to-edge design which gives an immersive viewing experience. OnePlus 7 comes with a small notch for front camera whereas OnePlus 7 Pro has a notch-less display as it has got a pop-up front camera. The PPI density of OnePlus 7 is 402 whereas that of its Pro variant is 516.
Both the smartphones are powered by a similar octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 7nm processor with Adreno 640 GPU, which makes it one of the most powerful mobile phone series available in India. The phones also get UFS 3.0 storage through which one can move and access the files faster and in a more effective way.
Coming to the camera specifications, the OnePlus 7 Pro comes with an ultimate camera experience as it features 3 cameras at the rear. The primary 48MP rear camera with an f/1.6 aperture and OIS comes with a Sony IMX586 lens, along with an ultra-wide-angle 16MP lens with f/2.2 aperture and the third camera is a telephoto 8MP with f/2.4 aperture with OIS. The OnePlus 7 Pro has a 16 MP front pop-up camera which has been designed to last.
On the other hand, the OnePlus 7 features 2 cameras at the rear with a 48MP primary camera which comes with a Sony IMX586 lens along with a 5MP secondary rear camera. OnePlus 7 comes with the same 16MP front camera as that of the Pro variant but it lies inside the notch.
Both phones come with Dolby Atmos dual stereo speakers which are known for delivering crystal clear sound. The batteries of two phones do differ from each other where OnePlus 7 gets a 3700mAH battery while the 7 Pro comes packed with a 4000mAH. Both phones feature Warp charge but OnePlus 7 comes with 20W whereas Pro has got 30W, which means that phones will now charge faster than before.
One of the main features that make OnePlus 7 Pro stand out of the crowd is its Fnatic mode. When we switch to this device, the phone will provide you with the ultimate gaming experience, it will restrict all the disturbances for that time period. Finally, one thing that every person wants in a phone is that it must be water resistant. But OnePlus is one such brand which never goes for IP ratings and so this phone also comes without such rating.
Recently, a YouTuber Dave Lee published a video doing a water test on the OnePlus 7 Pro and to our surprise, the phone survives the test. The phone remained for almost 16 minutes underwater and still, it worked perfectly. You can watch the video here. As far as the pricing is concerned, the OnePlus 7 starts at INR 32,999 and the OnePlus 7 Pro is available with a starting price tag of INR 48,999.
