The time has come now when the leaks and rumours for the OnePlus 8 series have started surfacing on the web. There has been a leak that also revealed that there would be a cheaper version of OnePlus 8 and it is rumoured to launch as OnePlus 8 Lite. Recently, the Amazon India affiliate page listed both the upcoming smartphones by mistake and then removed them after a few hours.
Amazon India’s affiliate page lists the fixed advertising fees for various products that also include smartphones. Under the “New: Mobile Phones at 1% Fixed Advertising Fee” category, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro were recently spotted listed alongside the 7T Pro, 7T Pro Mclaren, 7T, and 7Pro.
Going by the rumours, the OP8 Pro will come featured with a 6.65-inch Quad HD+ 120Hz display. It will get a curved edge display and it would be similar to the standard version of the phone. For the first time, a OnePlus smartphone is expected to get a punch-hole display front camera instead of the pop-up camera module.
We can also expect the smartphone to get wireless charging as recently OnePlus has joined Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) that is a group responsible for the development and maintenance of wireless charging standards.
The OP8 series is speculated to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM. It will run on Android 10 operating system. For optics, the smartphone is expected to feature a quad rear camera setup along with Time of Flight (ToF) sensor.
As time will pass we would encounter more leaks related to the smartphone which may or may not be the part of the actual product. As of now, we can only predict that the above-mentioned specifications could be part of the much-awaited OnePlus 8 smartphone series.
