OnePlus 8 Launch Date Officially Announced; Teaser Video Released

The OnePlus 8 launch date has been officially announced while the brand has also released a teaser video of the upcoming smartphone series on its YouTube channel. The flagship by the brand will launch on April 14 at 11:00 AM EDT (8:30 PM IST). The recent specs leaked on the web for the upcoming OnePlus 8 series reveals that the OnePlus 8 Pro will come featured with four rear cameras.

It will get a primary rear camera of 48MP with a Sony IMX689 sensor, a secondary 48MP 120-degree ultra-wide-angle camera with a Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8MP telephoto lens, and a 5MP depth sensor. The upcoming smartphone will also feature an improved OIS and EIS along with a new night portrait mode, 3-HDR video and cinematic effects.

The recent render by @onleaks and @iGeeksBlog has also surfaced online with updated flash location, new green coloured variant, and top frame design. Earlier in January this year, OnePlus confirmed that its upcoming flagship smartphone will come featured with a QuadHD+ OLED ‘Fluid Display’ with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.

The company also confirmed that their OnePlus 8 series will get 5G support. The battery of the smartphone is expected to be 4510mAh that will get support for Warp Charge 30T fast charging. The upcoming smartphone will also feature 30W wireless fast charging along with 3W wireless reverse charging for the first time. It is also being rumoured that OnePlus 8 Pro will also get IP68 water resistance ratings.
